I only really want Golden Axe and then Streets of Rage II when it unlocks. Do we need to download and play all the games in order to get the next. Or is just the combined playing % that unlocks the freebie shown at the top of the website?
You add the package to your library. No need to actually download and install anything. Any new, unlocked games will be automatically added to your library.

I think it'll be a different link to add the new unlocked games. The first link showed up as 'Prize #1', so I'm guessing there'll be different links for prize #2/#3/etc.

Don't choose the Barbarian. He is the crappiest. His shoulder slam doesn't reach the edge of the screen unlike Tyris' kick or the dwarf's headbutt.
He's meant to be balanced between magic and melee which the other two are on opposite ends of the extremes on. But he just ends up sucking at both.

From what I heard Sonic Generations was a actually good sonic game released recently.
Sonic Generations was a love letter (and an apology) to every Sonic fan. Loved it.

Loved Jet Set Radio back in the day. Can't wait to get back onto it.
It was awesome, it combined two of my favourite things. Extra points to them for getting trick names correct and having a banging soundtrack.
I added them to my library and I can see Jet Set Radio and Hell Yeah… But Golden Axe is conspicuously absent.
Can anyone else confirm if they actually got Golden Axe?

Once you pass 500+ games its not even the Playing anymore. You just collect all the games, like Pokemon.

I never hacked homebrew channel onto my wii…I got the WODE (hardware mod chip) for backing up games. the wode allows playback of backed up games from external HDD, which was my main use, but didn't allow emulators or WiiWare, etc, which required software mods. I was always too wary of system update issues to go with software mods…
i guess given the wii is so old now and likely no more system updates, and cause i never use it, i could go about software hacking it now to run emulators.

@caprimulgus: Yep Homebrew! I did it for 3 Wiis, all just needing the same hack (stick an email/message onto an SDcard, and turn on the Wii and open the message).
YMMV but had no problems.
I basically just used it to play all the games of my childhood. Final Fight, Captain Commando, Joe and Mac - Caveman Ninjas, and others.
Edit: Also Alex Kidd in Miracle World. I still suck just as badly as when I was a kid :D
I have a feeling the free games will be locked at the end of the promotion on 20th Feb, similar to the free weekend trial games. What you may end up getting is only the Faction based DLC for the winners of the round to encourage you to buy the base game.

When you click through to get the free games, golden axe actually comes as part of a sega bundle which contains all 3 games… now that you mention it, I might have previously bought the sega bundle. can't quite remember.. are people getting golden axe as a single game through this post?

For a moment there I though Jet Set Radio Future had come to steam.
This promo is kinda confusing.
There is a suggestion you have to play something to win, but then I havent played anything but still won round #1?

I think the idea is that the community as a collective needs to play, and then everyone wins. Ie, I think they're tracking the total number of hours played via Steam or something?
