Best Way to Get Euros in Spain and Currency in Morocco?

Will be spending about a fortnight in Spain and 6 days in Morocco.
Can anyone tell me if ATM are readily available in both places?
Concerned about accessing funds in Morocco.
Thanks for your advice.

  • You'll be fine in Spain with a Visa or MasterCard (just be aware of your banks fees and charges and let them know where you're going prior to travel).

Had a mate who went to Morocco last year and he used his Visa for the lot including cash out at ATMs, I remember speaking to him about it afterwards. He didn't seem concerned at all about it, but he's a very frequent traveller.

The Tripadvisor Money Page for Morocco seems to agree - that there are ATMs in the big places.

  • Used my citibank visa debit card while in Morocco in Oct 2015, no problems getting money out.
    Wherever tourists are, ATMs follow

    • Done a lot of reading about this exact topic/situation.
28 Degrees seems like a big mistake, where-as Citibank Plus is pure win.

I'll have both, but for backup. It's the citibank that will be getting all the work.

  • Used my 28 degrees card whilst in Spain with no problems. Though this was Oct/nov 2014 before they introduced the ATM fee free cash advance fee.

  • Normal Oz Bargain recommendation is a CitiBank Plus account for purchases and cash withdrawals. I don't think you'll need much cash in Spain. You can use your normal credit card or the Citibank plus account.
