I don't know much about getting beads from Australia, but when I was in the USA, they were much cheaper than what's on offer here. For example, I remember buying some cheap beads from Bead That Way. They're US based, so I'm only using them as an example, but their prices (even after conversions) are still much cheaper (their postage is cheaper too!). A couple of examples are:
Faceted Beads - US $1.25 (~AUD $1.37) for 250, as opposed to Eureka's AUD $2.50 for 40-50.
Jingle Bells - US $1.75 (~AUD $1.92) for 12, as opposed to Eureka's AUD $0.25 for 1 (AUD $3.00 for 12). The one's from Bead That Way are 12mm while Eureka's are around 8mm (does smaller size mean they should be even cheaper?).
As I said, I have no idea about bead supplies in Australia. I'm using the one experience I've had as my basis, but I would have assumed that since we're so close to Asia and that's generally the source for these materials, things would've been cheaper here.
Does anyone know if Eureka's prices are comparable to other Australian stores?
