Damn, if only I had a lawn.

      Shouldn't stop you if you're a true ozbargainer ^^

      • +1

Well indeed, and I usually would, but I have to draw the line at bulky items that won't fit in my "ozBargain cupboard".

        • +2

Perhaps you need one of these ><

        • In a while when you move house and have a lawn you will hate yourself for not buying one now while cheap

        • @CVonC: what's better doing as ms said below or cutting someone's…as you have suggested the right tool for?

        • @Kevan2:

          LOL WOT?

If that is a serious question, would you please re-post it using punctuation and English :-)

        • I have an OB room, then a garage, and now a room and a garage

        • @Jackson: You have an Obstetrics room?

      Hello neighbour

    • Buy first.
      Grow grass later;)

  • they both have single bar blades.

  • +7

With masters 10% code theirs should come out on top. And just the fact I like to support masters ;)

    • And cashrewards.
      I support Masters too.
There will be none of this when Masters go :(

  • And once again bunnings fails to undercut masters thanks to the voucher.

    • +8

well price isnt always the bargain. look at the specs as well. One of the Bunnings mowers has a Briggs and Stratton motor which probably is better than the generic Masters mower engine.

      • Yeah you're right, bunnings does look like the much better deal.

      • +1

The Briggs engine alone is worth the 10%…and a much shorter drive to the nearest Bunnings seal the deal.

        • +5

You will also have somewhere to take it if there is a Warranty issue in 6-12 months time

        • Masters one has 2yr manufacturers warranty as well tho. Plus should be under $130 with 10% off and 5% off GCs.

        • +1

@dins: Yeah, I just meant that there probably won't be a Masters store to take it to.
The Bunnings Sprinter mower has a 2 yr Warranty on the engine if anyone is interested

        • @Tony555:
          There will be safeway

        • +1

          @Frozensage:

And Safeway sells food. So your point is?

        • @llama:
          Masters the fresh food people

And let's all take a moment to realise how (profanity) well be when Masters closes.. :(

      Let's hold a minutes silence at 12 o'clock

I dig Masters, they have great customer service every time I have visited.
Unfortunately Woolworths expanded them too quickly, that is all. Should learn from Costco

    • I only visited them once to pick up an online order. Spent 40 mins at the front counter waiting for someone to go and collect my online order. There was one person serving about 10 people.

  • Ok so got to Cranbourne Bunnings at 7.05am - none there of either model. Was told that they were expecting the shipment mid week. Asked if one could be put on hold and was told no. Bit concerning isn't it?

Drove to my other local in Narre Warren. There was one Sprinter left which I grabbed. There was no stock of the other model either.

    • +2

      That's how their specials work.

  • Just pickedup Sprinter from Bunnings Coburg North Vic, they have 15 more in stock.

  • +1

To quote Molly - Do yourself a favour and head on over to gumtree and setup a daily email alert for (used) honda mowers. I picked up a used 1984 Honda HR194 for $100 which will outlive and be better supported/serviced than these two pieces of sh##.

  • Sprinter out of stock in Altona VIC. The manager sold me something else better on $148. (Briggs and Stratton motor and double blade)

  • +1

Picked a Sprinter up from West Gosford this morning around 9:20am.
They had two or three left at that time.
Also picked up from Bunnings the oil that is needed - an extra $12.98 but will be enough to do an oil change after 6 hours usage (as per recommendation from guy in Bunnings to remove any of the little metal shavings that might (will??) be in a new motor).

    • edit* Forgot to add, deal is good until 15/2/16
  • red cause its faster boys

  • Which brand do Masters have?

  • The red one, goes faster.
    It has a B&S motor

    @Supercheap auto. ends today. $149.25 139cc 4 stroke

  • Sprinter seems to be out of stock

  • Just got one and about 12 more Balcatta WA

  • Looks like both back to full price now ($179 & $279). Masters one still showing as $149 but no stock any stores I could see.
