Keen to get an idea on how much data you have consumed by the end of the day (14/2). Will this be an OzBargain record?

Fixed! Thanks :)
so basically people will tether to their multiple pcs at home and running torrent 23.9 hours? (just to be safe)
Haha the troll votes are already rolling in!
Trolls will always be trollin'.
Does anyone know if free data is extended to MNVOs on the telstra network? like boost and Aldi mobile…
TeleChoice get it.
On Tuesday 09-Feb-2016 some TeleChoice customers experienced issues using their voice and data services due to our network provider's outage.
While this has now been resolved our network provider is offering our mobile customers free data within Australia for the whole of Sunday the 14th of February (for the full 24 hours in your local timezone).
This is available to all of our mobile customers, and you do not need to do anything to receive this free data it will be made available to you automatically. So please post, browse, share and stream an enjoy on us this Sunday.
Wont it just clog up and be super slow anyway?
it's data not data
TeleChoice customers appear to get it too.
Looking to finally update my apps haha
Too slow to keep downloading. Ended up with around 50GB of linux iso's.. fun while it lasted.
It's onnnn
Indeed :D
Palm Beach/Elanora Gold Coast
Time Down Up (Mbps)
05:15 82.30 40.2
10:21 62.30 28.9
14:07 63.40 33.2
Dual Band (not carrier) 4G modem 1800 and 2600MHz
How much did everyone download today?
I am predicting between 10-15GBs.
I have unlimited broadband so it was just downloading some stuff I had on my list of crap I needed to get.
Not complaining, but just not a huge deal for me.
I only got about 150GB mainly downloading legit games. Would have downloaded more but the limiting factor was my SSD. Hope 1TB SSDs come down in price.
150 is neat, right up there.
I flew past 9.99 GB bracket fairly early in day. Got to 41½ Gb by 12 mn, that's= 4Mbps committed! Contributing to the stat for my suburb and demand yeh.
Quality surprisingly consistent. Bit of speed dip entering the evening uploading from a second SIM to google drive, however used PureVPN to alleviate that a bit. Climbed up to 4GB p/hr UL by 11pm (lte,1bar).
Also, maxing out an old screen res laptop, Netflix sustained 720p smoothly.
In comparison, Voda fone's weekend produced much stronger performance for Uplink config - distinctly solid 7GB per hour for unequalled cloud xfers.
Network test result overall make me feel offers could easily reach a order of magnitude above 2016's artificial 20GB. 250 ??
VF getting there with $1 (/46cGB).
Ended up about 12GB for me.
Got through 74,953 MB on an LG G4 phone on Sunday, using an old Telstra prepaid MBB SIM that was about to expire with zero credit left. I had other Telstra SIMs, but for me this was the best one to use, since I could go to bed and leave it running on Sunday night, safe in the knowledge there was no way to bill me for any usage on Monday.
Definite congestion observed - normally I would get 4.5 MB/s downloads, but was typically seeing around 1.1 MB/s. This is inner-city Sydney, so lots of people would have been going for it.
had some large updates on my consoles I was putting off because of my crappy ADSL connection, made use of the free data to get everything up to date and fast, all up used just over 40gb to get what I needed done.
Let's push for another free day by getting behind this guy ;-)

This smashes clean through the token apologies barrier, deep into the realm of blatant insults.
Distributing email on a Saturday for an exclusive event the very next day smacks of a calculated ploy to legitimately broadcast an offer to the affected user base with the assurance that a large percentage of that group will not receive the notification in time to actually take it up.
…or am I the only person who nominated my work email address and for obvious reasons do not read my email on weekends?
The stupid thing is the outage was an inconvenience but any reasonable person has to appreciate that it happens occasionally - I get that and I move on. Then I get this email which for many of us reads, "We made this up to you yesterday but you missed it - where were you???" and it only serves to take from that place of calm in having forgotten about it to the uneasy feeling of being jibbed TWICE.
It is an appalling, spiteful approach to rewarding customer loyalty and you, Kate McKenzie, are a disgrace for endorsing it.
Still - that's Telstra for you.
ROFL, wow I can't believe they did that. I completely agree with you, as if you need to be reminded that you missed out, extremely spiteful way of making sure that you know they tried to make up for it.
got through about 500gb of downloads no issue
Telstra to offer free data again due to outage yesterday
Mr Penn (Telstra CEO) said a free data day would be offered on Sunday April 3 to compensate for the disruptions
These disruptions seem to be a regular occurrence now. Wonder if there is a concept of license to operate driving the telco industry. If there is, surely if this incidents keep happening that their ability to provide a service nationally be revoked or at least fined.
got data on the mind???
by the end of the
dataday (14/2)
