  • Has anyone experienced Paypal rejecting payments made to a VPN provider yet?
Apparently VPN providers are the bad guys. I'll expect them to stop accepting payment for eBay purchases soon, seeing as though eBay facilitates sales of fake, copyright protected items.

    • I can imagine people complain about latency, slow downloads etc and wanting refunds…might be a reason why many VPN providers want 12 mth deals instead of month by month. Then then customers want a refund via PayPal. And how do you do prorata refund in a cost effective manner and communicate with pay pal to work out prorata

  • Why not contact F-Secure Freedom to price match this offer?

  • I will give it a try.

  • Deals for this VPN have been posted a few times now. It would be appreciated if any of those users could provide some feedback. Not much info on the net.

I still have 4 months on my ghost VPN sub but always happy to grab a year sub on a deal.

    • They're new. I think they only started in October, so not many have tried them out or wanted to risk it yet.

Right now, if you're on TPG like me, you're going to be wanting a VPN for at least a month..

      • why..?

        • Underwater cable to the US has been damaged and will take 30 days to repair. International traffic is very slow, especially during peak hours. During off peak where there's no traffic, it's pretty alright.

Peak hours, you might get 5kB/s.

        • @lostn: Thank you for the info. No wonder my mama rang me saying her streaming was stuttering :-)

        • @tesla: Seems to be OK now. TPG has rerouted traffic through other cables and has gotten better at doing it. It's barely noticeable now.

But the first 3-4 days.. I was getting anywhere from 150KB/s to less than 5kB/s.

  • i'm with belong and you must need vpn to avoid shaping IP
from my experience also bigpond same problem

We've also had reports of slowness from residential ISPs on Syd2-4, but we're unable to replicate it on our end. Everything appears okay from outside from Australia, if anyone has a chance to run a trace route to Syd2-4 and/or test the servers for responsiveness, we would appreciate it. If you could send your results to [email protected], that would be great!

    • slow

      • I'm trying it right now. Speed seems pretty good for me. ~ 1Mb

    • Can't connect using the above details.
I have even tried 'ozbargain' as I thought it could be a misspelling by the rep.
Can someone else confirm that these settings are working and I'll try to troubleshoot my set up.

As the rep said, that trial account expired on 16/2

        • My bad.
          I read it as Feb 2016 (02/16).
Was wanting to give it a try and see if it's worth signing up.
          Thanks mate.

        • @deveshwar0:
I used the trial and was happy enough to sign up with them. So far so good. Better be quick if you want to get in at this price though. Subscription supposedly goes up in the next day or so..?

        • @deveshwar0:

          Here is another one, ozbargin1234 / ozbargin1234
