JB Hi-Fi: Selected Blu Rays 3 for $40

80

JB are having another of their mix n match offers on blu ray again….

I haven't seen this offer ever, and am not that impressed by it, although this may suit other Ozbargainers.

I would not recommend buy from this offer now but wait for the 20% off sale where you should be able to get these for $32.

Reason for not liking this offer -
JB Used to alternate their 2 for $20 / 2 for $30 offers with buy two get one free blu ray offer - where most movies (including 2-3 month new releases would get marked down to $15.98). This meant you could get three movies for ~ $32 ($25.57 on their 20% off Blu Ray Weekends) . This current offer is $8 more :/ . Yes, I know some of the movies are marked as $29.98 or thereabouts, but JB hasn't marked them down yet…

  • So what you're saying is that this really isn't a good deal :/

    • Well, it is a deal per se…. but not that great a deal as the B2G1F. Presumable this is the new JB with the dollar falling and all….

      • The number of sub-$10 Blu-rays had been above 700 in the previous few months; looks like it's now fallen to 435.

  • I was pleased to find mission impossible rogue nation on the list. It's only been out on blu ray since December.

  • looks like the shipping cost has increased to $1.69 per item

  • Hope there is a 20% off soon so we can stack :)

  • It depends what titles you get for this to be a good deal. It seems to be a mix of the previous 2 for 20 and 2 for 30 titles. If you buy three titles that were in the 2 for 39 collection, then you're ahead. As OP said, might be worth waiting for next 20% off also

    • Any examples of bluray that were included in the 2 for $30 that are included in this?
I noticed some included in the 2 for $20, but not included in this

  • … am not that impressed by it…
    I would not recommend…

    Thanks for the warnings ;P
Isn't 3 for $40 better value than 2 for $30? (Generally speaking of course, depends on the movies available).

    • it is better that 2 for $30 for sure. However, these same movies in the 2 for 30 range were in the buy two get one free range as well. therefore the 3 for $40 isn't as good as B2G1F…..
