hi all, I'm looking to buy a USB charger for my phone and ipad among a few other devices. Was wondering if anyone knew some good cheap ones? i'm hoping to pay below $15 if possible. But the biggest thing i'm worried is making sure I don't get one of those dodgy or unsafe ones I keep hearing about.
Thanks for any help!!

Oh, Ikea has a decent 3-port one right at 14.99 AUD: http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/40291889/

Its overall max output is lower than the BlitzWolf dual-port suggested above, but it does have more ports. Good if you don't mind waiting longer for a bunch of devices to charge.
Thanks so much guys, I didn't expect such a good answer and so in depth as well, looking at the tear downs are amazing. And they look like really awesome choices. Thanks so much!!
I have the Tronsmart 5 port recently posted here, it's excellent!
I got one of those rare DickSmith deals, in stock, no fuss, supplied.
2.1a per port, ideally dual USB, quality brand, fair price.

Over the moon. Wouldn't know what to buy, if I needed more.
Tronsmart and BlitzWolf have been fairly solid in my experience. I'd generally recommend the 5-port ones with the power cable, because they include a proper AU cable (seems standards-compliant, includes the pin insulation too!). However, those are a bit outside your price range.
If you really want under 15 AUD…
You'll need a US => AU adapter for those.
Which one you choose will depend on if you have any devices that support QC, and whether you want dual-port more. Or you can just pay a bit more and get one of the 5-port ones.
I'd also suggest Anker, but they stopped shipping to AU a while ago.
Safety. Ah. Well, you could always get something properly AU-certified. It'll probably cost you more than $15, especially if you want proper 10 W (2 A @ 5 V) charging, much less dual-port at 10 W ea. There have been teardowns, and the designs are pretty good - far, far better/safer than the typical ebay cheapies.
