So the ASUS UX303UB laptop was on sale a few times from Dick Smith, but it didn't really matter because there was no stock available.
Now, it seems, Dick Smith has raised the price to $1799, but again it doesn't really matter because there is no stock.
But DS seems to be the only retailer that's carrying this model in Australia - I suspect because they got an exclusive deal from ASUS…
ASUS must be kicking themselves. The UX303UB is the best value/dollar laptop on the market, and it seems ASUS have found themselves stuck in an exclusive arrangement with a retailer that isn't replenishing stock, and isn't taking orders.
Surely ASUS had a clause that let's them void any exclusive arrangement, in the event of receivership?
I don't get why you'd bother dealing with DSE Liquidators. ASUS ain't kicking themselves. You are going by speculations without solid facts! The fact is, if DSE doesn't have it instock.. don't keep on banging your head against the wall… and move on.
