Two deals I found on everbuying. Cheapest price I've ever seen for the Redmi Note 2, beating this deal. Also a decent price for the xiaomi pistons, which haven't had a deal in a while.

  • That's a good price for the RN2.

Better deal here if you want the phone quicker:
    https://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/xiaomi-redmi-note-2…
$185 AU with express dhl shipping.

Expedited shipping at Everbuying is $5 more. So works out cheaper. Not sure how much faster one is compared to the other though.

I got one from ebglobal a while back (about a month ??) for my son ….. was about $192 with postage, exchange rate. paypal, etc.

Keep hoping gearbest or bangood do a deal so I can use their free postage, want to get a 2nd one. Only downside is lack of 700 MHz, else all works ok, loaded the global ROM and my son is happy.

Took about a week to arrive, courier, tracking, delivered to front door ….. yeah US charger was let down.

    • You know i'm sorry but eglobaldigitalcameras isn't that good, i ordered with them over a week ago, no communication, my phone hasn't been sent, even though they advertise a 2-4 days dispatch period, i've request a cancellation…

      • I had the exact same issue. kept being told it would be sent on Friday the following week. Ask again the following Friday. It will be Monday or Tuesday at the absolute latest. Ask on Monday. It will be Thursday… over 2 weeks after estimated shipping date I cancelled.

        • Yeah i feel ya, I have received my refund, i might buy the Xioami 3 Pro, the one with Snapdragon 650..

I picked up a Note 2 for the listed price of AU$168, but by the time I want to check out via paypal it was going to deduct AU$192 from my balance for the payment. I stopped there and thought paypal was ripping me off (which they tried).

I then completed the transaction via a credit card and it deducted AU$179. So the list price you see and the exchange rate at payment, you may end up paying more.

    • Same as gearbest. They are slightly shifty as everything is quoted and charged in USD. The "AUD" price is only for indication only.

don't bother trying to look for discount coupons for everbuying. as everything is "already discounted" therefore no code will work to reduced the price

    • Yeah coupons on that site are useless.

  • Note 2 or hold off for the Note 3? Spec wise its similar but there is the better body, finger print scanner etc

    • I see the defining factor as being whether you want expandable storage (Note 2) or not (Note 3).

      • expandable storage is available for the note 3 pro.

      • Specs on Gsmarena says Redmi Note 3 also allow microSD and up to 128 GB

  • +1

Everbuying have a 22% off code valid for next 4 days.
    But. …..

Using it on this deal actually increases the price on this product because it is a "super duper vip special" price or something and no further discounts allowed

    • yeah always been this way, absolutely ridiculous by everbuying. the code is what made me browse the site in the first place, and I thought I found the bargain of the century until I tried applying the code.

      • Sorry, altomic already said this a few comments up !

    • Now that the price have gone back up to US$129.99, you can save $1 with that code.

  • Redmi note 2 prime is also cheapest ~ AUD 236 and better than 16 GB version

    • with android 5, and their upcoming 6 …… you can load apps into the expansion memory …. so not good value for extra 16 gb built in, better spend it on memory expansion. They don't seem to have black version as an option ? Must be supply issue, but on some sites the price varies with colour, white being cheapest, black most expensive ?

      • The 32GB has a slightly faster (200MHz) processor, but I'm not sure if that could justify the $50+ increase when I have a few MicroSD cards lying around.

    • gearbest have the 32GB for $232 AU with their free shipping (3 weeks typically), I think with Chinese new year a week away, dispatch and shipping you would want done before they wind down for holidays.

I would not recommend purchasing from everbuying. I purchased a RN2, a few months ago for my son, and the global rom was customed with malware. It was a fairly expensive lesson for me as it was draining my son's data and I couldn't stop it. Luckily the guys at MIui helped and we flashed the rom with the latest global version of miui. Works beautifully now. It's a really nice phone…. My son loves it.

Before I knew about the malware issue I also tried to purchase a Lenovo android tablet, after 3 months of waiting to be shipped they decided to cancel my order and refund me the money, which I am still waiting for. With the exchange rates with pal pay, I think it's going to end up costing me $30….. And I get nothing for it…. Probably lucky as that may have been packed with malware as well.

    So beware of these guys..

    • +1

If you want to avoid malware and flashing hassles in the future I would recommend vickmall. All the folks at whirlpool use them. You tell them which rom to install and they do that for you. They are pretty much the same price too. They also include a free case and screen protector. Shipped with Singapore post so a bit quicker as well.

    • xioami have the generic global rom on their web site and clear instructions how to load …first things I did was load fresh global rom from their web site, . wish Samsung were as good with their ROMs .

the stuff we call bloatware is actually useful to people in China so it's a selling point. they don't have Facebook use as much Whatsapp ( they use wechat) or eBay, so often retailers preload the local equivalent ….. for us it's bloatware because those apps aren't useful to Australians.

ours came via eglobal $192 inc express delivery.

  • This will be a perfect phone for me with dual sim cards. Does anyone know what this means "one SIM slot supports WCDMA / TD-SCDMA or FDD / TDD, and the other SIM card only supports TD-SCDMA or TDD-LTE"? Does both sim slot support our carrier?

  • I have an Aldi sim in one for a phone number and Optus data share sim the other for data, you don't get all the same setup options in both slots.

  • $129*.92 for Dealsmachine and Everbuying should come to AU $168 assuming Topcashback supported + honoured valid.

  • Anyone to report their order as shipped out yet + Everbuying cashback $10.80 successfully tracked? Thinking to go Vickmall to sidestep the whole malware complaint.

I got myself a Redmi Note 2 (not from Everbuying though, from eGlobal), and so far loving it. What an absolute bargain!

  • Got the Redmi Note 2 from Everbuying

Updated to latest global Miui Rom.

However I can't copy anything onto the external sd card which is extremely disappointing.

Have tried to root the phone but it won't load twrp, or root.

Does anyone have a solution to the above?

Not being able to upload to external sd card is a major negative.

    • Hi hello007,

We are sorry for the SD card issue, could you pls PM me your order number for checking?
I can contact our order department to solve this for you.

      Thank you!

  • I wonder if Everbuying is the same as Gearbest (who have been banned from this site), maybe just another brand name for them: Have a look at the Domain Details, they are the same and the IP address of their servers are at the same location. So if it "walks like a duck…." etc. I would suggest that one be very careful in dealing with Everbuying, as you might be scammed as some where with Gearbest, I would be happy if someone could correct me on this. It is interesting that there is a whole range of domains at this location another is dealsmachine.com See: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/forum/gearbest.com
