Hi folks. We have started looking at buying a house and I have no much idea as last property we bought it was in the UK, where things work very differently. Anyways I would like some reccomendation for a Conveyancer in Sydney (we are in the Shire, but it can be anywhere I suppose if is like in the UK) also any tips/advise.
We have seen a property we really like and our mortgage will be preapproved in about 3 weeks (as I'm waiting for my 2 payslips in New job). We are first time buyers here. Any advise will be greatly appreciated, both regarding any Conveyancer and how to put in an offer. Thanks

Consider using a Solicitor instead. They don't cost a lot more and are able to provide legal advice.
Hugh @ Jason Smith Conveyancing. I have used them twice, located at Taren Point. The last transaction, they he got us out of a poisonous deal with a vendor.
You will need to visit on the odd occasion, so choose somewhere convenient to your home or work.
I've used these twice, I've never used another conveyancer so have nothing to compare them to. They got the job done, no dramas and I will use them again next time I buy.

They are in Mortdale, only a few mins walk from the train station if you need to drop off/pick up some documentation.
Thanks all, I will look at the two converyancers here reccomended.
Given that you're in NSW you probably wouldn't have used them anyway, but on the offchance, STAY AWAY from River City. The whole experience was painful. The most minor of the complaints we had in dealing with them was that on 2 or 3 occasions we received emails, including personal details, that were meant for other clients.
