Anyone else having problems logging into PSN?

  Have had similar issues to you in that I can never seem to get a payment approved through the web on the PS store.
  Have you tried processing it through your console? I've always been able to do that when the web browser blocked my payments.

  Well, because Sony's services is stupid and gave me an error I just accidentally renewed my subscription twice.

      Their service supplied an error at the last point in the checkout process so I assumed it didn't renew so I redid transaction. It has nothing to do with my Internet. My service has been totally fine for everything else.

      Oh well. I needn't bother about renewing my sub until early 2018.

        An error can come if the net drops out before it can reload the page after the payment has been made. You also said that the store was down for you yesterday when it worked fine for others including myself.

        You must understand that just because your net worked fine for one thing it doesn't mean it will work for another. Read up on packet loss, it happens sometimes when you literally cannot access a server properly without losing data. I had this issue using Spintel a few years ago and couldn't get a proper line to the PSN. After running port fixes on their end I ended up with everything going great again.

        That doesn't explain why the web store kept rejecting my card and paypal account. In different browsers.

        The process on the console worked entirely fine: logged into my account, accessed the PS+ renewal page, logged into paypal, logged into PS account again, confirmed purchase … error.

        I probably should have checked to see if it renewed anyway, but I thought the whole process failed because it was rejecting my paypal/card again.

        Live and learn, I guess.
