Just thought I'd warn you guys. It all depends on what you want to use them for.

Remember that they really are cheap quality.. the handles will break off if you carry a bucket full of water. The sun degraded them really quickly too, they just wall apart then.

In my experience, if you don't expect too much of a 50c bucket, then you won't be disappointed.

      • +1

Well I was expecting a bucket to hold at least 3/4 full of water ;)

Excellent I can get 2 for the Mother-In-Law for when she comes through the door, if she doesn't kick the first one she should get the second.

SCA buckets are made of a very brittle plastic, the holder of the handle breaks off easily. The $0.95 Bunnings variety is slightly better quality.

    • Link to the $0.95 ones in Bunnings, please.

      • Found it: http://www.bunnings.com.au/9-3l-assorted-multipurpose-plasti…

Ozbargainer in me says, no, because it is only 9.3L :P

Depends how much you use it I guess.

We used several buckets to measure out ingredients for concrete (sand, bluemetal, cement).

None of the SCA ones survived the first day intact. Bunnings ones were still ok after day 2 when we finished that job.

    • holder of the handle?

      • +1

The plastic part of the main bucket that the handle clips into.

    • And they're only 47c now…

  • +1

The last time this sort of deal occurred, my local SCA decided to let a tradie who came in buy all 200 that were in stock.

  • Plastic handles break so easily compared to metal. Metal ones usually do end up breaking the plastic mould they're hooked into evetually but seem to last longer. For 50c though it's a great deal.

  • is it 6x buckets per customer or 6x multi buy per customer (making it 12 buckets total)?

    • Try to buy 12 and see what happens.

  • This'll go well with the soon to expire tobasco sauce..

  • Might get a few and use them as pots for plant.

    • +2

      heheheh POT plants!

    • They degrade really quickly in the sun.

  • Any pink buckets?

  • Bought these from the last deal and I wouldn't recommend them. The plastic handles fall off with every use.

  • monthly deal @ Supercheap Auto

Similar buckets selling at Bunnings for 47c each. Bought some today by pure coincidence… Save 6c for two or 53c if you only need one bucket.

  • Agreed with other posters here.

My SCA buckets handle kept breaking off and the other one has a large crack and I only used my buckets once a month for washing the car.

  • I bought one and called it Hyacinth.
