Hi Folks,
Need your advice.
Discovered that my camera lens was all cracked up and glass was in tiny bits. However I can still take pictures. So it looks like it is an exterior problem.I now have a tape over the smashed bits and will remove when I need to take a picture. Does anyone know where I can get it repaired? I have checked with 2 vendors in Chaddy and they quoted $100 for the half hr job(they will need to order the parts first) while Samsung says it's $150 and will take a couple of days. Alternatively, having seen repair videos online, has anyone had a similar problem, ordered the parts online(about $5 on ebay/Amazon) and repaired it themselves? Thank you.

It was in a hard case by move.but….
Was it though? Was there a covering over the camera lens?
Warranty doesn't cover physical damage…
That was the reply to the 2nd question. It's hard to prove physical damage just appeared there.
Why don't you think warranty covers broken screens? I think you need to read up on what warranty is.
Great stuff, though in the OP it seems like he already went to Samsung and said it would cost $150. It doesn't hurt to try to get it fixed for free, unless there is an inspection fee.
Jerryrigeverything has a video on replacing it DIY
Thanks folks. At Optus;my provider;the guy told me it's a pretty common problem due to design flaw. Just my luck I suppose.I'll try Samsung see what they'll say. Thank you.
So many people not taking care of their phones. If i was you, I'd bite the bullet and go to Samsung. Put your darn phone in a case.
