    If that website is legit, that is a pretty solid price.

      It's legit. Bought a KitchenAid for the wife a few years ago. It's smaller version of Harvey Norman/Good guys.

      • Damn haha. Wishing I had held off a little. Bought one for the missus at $699 price match peter of kensington with the icecreambowl in first week of December last year at DJ (thank god for christmas casuals). I suppose she's had at least $100 worth of value out of it since then :P

        • we almost bought then as well, but my tightness won out! (one of my qualities that my wife appreciates!)

          @shmahoo:
          Your wife lacks tightness?

          @shmahoo:

          I thought you'd appreciate it more on her!

  • this or kenwood chef … hmmm

  • I have spoken to them in store and they will honour this price as well

    It's a great deal if you are in the market for one of these as I am

    It's $629 over at Peter's of Kensington

      agreed, but there is only stock of limited colours in your suggestion, and your price doesn't include free delivery or free ice cream bowl attachment, if this is important to you

      • I have the ice cream bowel, great for making ice cream however you do need to freeze it before you use it and it does take up quite a bit of freezer space but does fit in a normal sized household fridge/freezer.

        • Sorry for my ignorance. Rather curious about how this ice-cream bowl attachment works.

          After freezing the bowl, do you put in all the ice-cream ingredients, turn the mixer on, and in a while (like 15-30mins) get ice-cream in the bowl?

          Thanks in advance.

          @bluesky:
          the ice cream attachment has two parts the bowl which has some sort of liquid similar to freezer packs inside it and a paddle. The idea is that you churn the ice cream to freeze the ice cream mixture while incorporating air into it. the way you freeze it is by freezing the bowl first which would in turn freeze the mixture and you have the paddle that turns to incorporate air.

          The final ice cream is soft serve consistency so you would need to transfer it to a container and put it in the freezer but to be honest I love it at that consistency so that is when it tastes the best IMO.

        • @lancedefrance: Thank you! The ice-cream made by the bowl looks really good.

    • +1

      Any idea if the ice cream bowl attachment is a kitchenaid promotion or exclusively from that retailer?

      • +1

        Exclusive from retailer. If you go to one of store they'll give you one. You don't have to fill up a form to claim it from kitchenaid website.

        • Cool, thanks.

        • +1

          this was a national KitchenAid Christmas promotion

  • You can get also 25% off at KitchenAid's website with code Telstra15.

    • Is it free delivery? And has free ice cream maker bowl?

  • my 11 yr old daughter has been saving for AGES and has just picked one of these up!
    She's beside herself!

    • +1

      Good on her! I bet the bonus ice-cream bowl attachment adds lots of extra excitement! I love how the ice-cream comes together in the youtube clip, kindly provided by lancedefrance. But already own the kitchenaid, and the attachment is expensive.

  • Price gone up by $40

  • Price back again. I think they think they might get more profit by increasing it by 40. That didn't work so it's back again.
