Jetabroad's 10% cash back offer when paying with PayPal is back. Expires 31/Mar/2010 or when the cash back money runs out. Minimum $500 spend.

Offer went live 12/Mar/2010 and I picked up an ADL->SIN airfare during school holidays for $818 return. Bargain.

    I won't vote negative in case I'm missing something here, but the prices quoted by this website are far in excess of other popular online travel agents, such as Best Flights, or even the airlines themselves.

    EG: Brisbane to LAX, they quoted $2,000 when similar flights are around $1100. And Brisbane to Honolulu they quoted $7,000!

    Just my experience, others may fare better.

    • Flight search engines quite often miss the best offers or cough up a silly result. Last year JAL's web site was trying to sell me an economy ticket to Europe for $6000, where lastminute.com.au on the exact same flights gave $1600.

  • Agreed Wampus. Im going to rome for my homneymoon and this site is near exactly $200 more then elsewhere. Wont neg though, might be some flights that are good deals.

  • booked a flight 2 weeks ago for my sister with philippine airlines SYD - MNL return, $1024, same flight on jet abroad is 1014 then 102 cashback wouldve been $912… spewing! so pos from me.

    but i have checked jetabroad previously for other flights and the prices were usually more than booking with the airlines direct.

  • I think in general the prices on here are higher than places like travel.com.au and Bestflights. However the paypal cashback brings them back in line with the competitive deals.

    Eg MEL - SIN 23rd Sept to 27 Sept

    Travel.com.au = $845
    Jetabroad = $860 - 87 = $773

  • Jetabroad is a bit hit or miss. The offer I got to Singapore with Virgin Blue and Emirates was the same price on Webjet and Jetabroad (didn't appear on Zuji or Bestflights), but with the discount Jetabroad is better. Sometimes Jetabroad's other quotes were about 20 to 30% higher than Zuji's on other routes.

    If all search engines are reporting the roughly same price (happens quite often) then Jetabroad's offer is very good, otherwise it's best ignored. As usual, shop around.

  • I found the ticket I want is cheaper than other place with the 10% cash back.
    However one thing I am not sure is, if I purchase with my Gold Credit Card, I will entitle to free travel insurance, if I am using paypal, the money is still come out of Credit card, do I still have free travel insurance?
    anyone had this experience b4?

    • I purchased my tickets through a normal NAB Visa card (0.5% cashback), but I have a BankWest Gold card with free travel insurance as well. The terms and conditions state when claiming travel insurance:

      "proof that you are eligible for insurance cover, e.g. your eligible credit card account statement and credit card receipt to confirm the purchase of your return overseas travel ticket(s)"

      There is nothing there specifying PayPal purchases are not valid, or that a direct booking with the airline must be made. If you booked travel with an agent, such as Flight Centre, the payment would go to Flight Centre instead of the airline. The PayPal transaction would be marked with the seller's ID, which is Jetabroad. So I assume you would still gain coverage. As always, check your terms and conditions or call your credit card company.

      In my case I used my NAB Visa Mini card simply because I intend to purchase travel insurance anyway, as I'm flying to multiple international destinations on my trip. If the worst should happen, I don't want to give the CC company and their insurer any wiggle room :-)

    • Just a note that my free travel insurance wasn't up to the level I wanted when I went to the U.S. last year - check the details carefully, you might want to spend an extra $100 on some proper travel insurance depending on your destination

    • I don't think you will have free travel insurance cause for your cc, it's just a normal transaction (from Paypal), not a ticket transaction.

  • Good for me +1
    Like previous posters have said, it seems to be a hit and miss depending on your route

  • I have just checked a route where the price at Jetabroad for an Emirates flight to a destination in Europe was AUD 2400.— and the same flights on the same dates on the Emirates website itself is only AUD 1983.—.
