I am planning to buy garmin 2597lmt which came down to 143.20 in JB Hi-fi.

This is the first time I ever buy GPS. Do you guys think this is a good deal and worth buying or I can buy a better one for this price or I can wait till I find a good deal.
My budget is 100 -150$ and I'm looking for better and cheapest model.
i got one of these it is great. The GPS is one of the quickest I used and the bluetooth smartphone link combined with the voice recognition makes this the best handsfree around. I got it for $160 last year so $143 is pretty good price. Haven't tried the live traffic because it requires internet access. And yes, it comes with quick release suction cap.
For an additional $40 also at JB, this could be worth the stretch unless you need bluetooth.

Check out tmart.com. I bought one off there for a usa road trip a few months ago. Paid about 65aud delivered. Worked brilliantly. Heaps of features. Better than my Australia garmin. If your after a cheap gps with no big name associated to it I would reccomend them.
Oh and I found that garmin lifetime maps are for about 5 years only - untill they upgrade the devices. When I attempt a free update now it says no maps are compatiple with my gps. Cheers garmin.
