Fallout 4 PC from $47.82 / Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - $18.50 + More @ G2A (Australia Day Sale)

101
AUD

Hi everyone,

G2A is having an Australia Day Sale at the moment (Not sure why, they aren't Australian?)
There are a few titles on offer, which seem to be the cheapest at the moment (According to Static Ice)

I believe if you apply code 'AUD' at checkout you get an extra 3% off (Not sure if the prices already include the 3% off)

You can also save another $1+ by paying using "G2A PAY 30 Day free trial" however by doing so you sign up to their subscription, and cannot cancel the subscription until 2 days before the subscription expires, and if you forget then you get charged 1€ ($1.56 AUD) per month

and of course, you can also save some extra $$$ by disabling G2A Shield
While I have never had a problem with purchases from G2A, I normally just leave it enabled for piece of mind encase something goes wrong.

Enjoy

(profanity) G2A, it's full of scams. Their "Shield" doesn't count for shit and they are full of catches and hidden fees. Their sources for their keys are often less than legit and I can't believe that they are not banned from OzBargain

I have purchased from G2A about 4-5 times, never had a problem with hidden fees or catches, and their codes are always legit (For Steam anyways, never purchased for anything else)

only thing I will admit that's stupid is the fee they charge for paying via PayPal, but you can get around that by paying via G2A Pay or Credit Card
(and maybe a few other different payment options - I haven't explored them all to see which ones do and don't come with fees)

yeah PayPal is the nuisance with a fee….. but selling on eBay I have the PayPal fee also when buyers pay me.

option is to buy a prepaid credit card from Aust post and use that if you don't like leaving your other card details.

I've never had a problem with a key not working,

Keys will usually activate (most of the time) but if it doesn't then you are boned. If they are caught out for obtaining stolen keys or bought with stolen credit cards and those keys get blocked later on as they sometimes do, you're boned. They try and get you away from the safety of Paypal for a reason. I am not aware of anyone ever been able to successfully claim off "G2A Shield" - it is just a smokescreen to make you feel as safe as Paypal and grab more cash at the same time. Just from this particular sale alone I can see that they are still peddling Witcher 3 GOG Keys which they skimmed off a Nvidia promotion- GOG keys were never offered wholesale, only to Nvidia.

        • Not boned, in 1 situation with a DIFFERENT key store, steam removed a game from my library, I was provided with another key. I am personally unaware of anyone, and have not experienced, needing to make a claim through G2a shield.

Can people chime in and tell me if I have been lucky or if their experiences are also positive?

I wouldn't be surprised if a retailer was unbundling the witcher code from cards and selling the cards as OEM system builder stock at a discount …. not everybody that buys a graphics card wants the game …. the only challenge is does it play the same in regards to upgrades, does it play the same if you don't have nvidia, etc.

    • ASUS, MSI, EVGA, and Gigabyte, all require either full registration of the card against a user account for warranty, or attaching proof of purchase in the form of an invoice, sometimes both.

If there are retailers taking the keys off the top of this, I would be very surprised. They're going through a lot of effort for not really much return.

Just be a bit careful, the G2A shield is a monthly subscription thing so if you don't want them to keep charging you money every month, you have to remember to cancel it.

    • How do you cancel it?

    • Has this changed since 12th jan?

I purchased a game recently, and as usual, chose to pay an extra $1.30 approx for the shield protection.

Never had an issue with G2a before, 4-5 purchases over 2 years.

Had 1 issue with another key seller, steam game removed from library, so I provided proof of this and was provided with a new key.
Ergo, I generally trust key sellers, as long as you are paying attention to region locks, language options, etc.

      +1 to g2a

+1 to key resellers in general.

  • I'll chime in last year I purchased borderlands 2 through g2a and paid extra for the shield protection.

The cd key didn't work and I tried following it up through their customer service providing them screenshots as requested.

They eventually stopped replying and they closed off the interaction without providing a solution. First and last time buying from that dodgy website.
