Virgin Mobile Billing Issue

Hi guys,

I have just churned my mobile plan from Virgin to Amaysim last week, been with Virgin for probably 3 years, however got a very nasty surprise from Virgin after churning, got bill extra month even I have churn before billing cycle, should I make complaint to TIO? It's only under $20 but to me it's the principle, should I bother with TIO or just let me charge me, forget about it and never use Virgin product ever again?

    Why not just contact them and tell them that they incorrectly billed you? lol.

    • I move to amaysim data only plan..don't want to spent 10 minutes call on mobile which cost rough $10, I guess just email them..

  • Blast them on the phone. You will get your money back if you can prove what you claim.

    • well, from amaysim FAG, transfer from virgin may take up to five days, other telco take like 3hrs.., however the process actually only take 2 days and I was able to start surfing use amaysim 4g network, which is before my billing date with virgin.

  • You may have to read the fine print with the virgin contract. The devil is sometimes in the detail. Phone companies are famous for this stuff. Worth following up with virgin before escalating it. TIO wont act unless you have made a genuine attempt to resolve the matter.

    Talk about using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Contacting the telecommunications provider (Virgin in your case) should always be the first port of call. The TIO should only be brought in as a last resort.

    • receive reply from virgin after almost a week, anyway my bad, it's postpaid so the amount is for previous month not new billing month.
