  • Anyone know how warranty works if these are faulty? Highly considering picking these up to upgrading my aging Sandy Bridge machine, but not sure what to do if these were faulty.

    • Deal with Amazon, or just deal with Corsair directly

  • +1

    Bought, thanks!

What's the point of the $5 extra 2 year warranty when these sticks are lifetime warranty

    • Just make sure to cancel your trial Prime membership within 30 days or you will get charged!

  • Didn't know we could get a prime membership in Australia. What are the benefits of getting a prime membership?

    • Nothing really :/ Has been noted during 'Prime Day' before

      • thanks for letting me know. Its a good deal though

  • If you already have 8GB do not bother….no difference in gaming or any other normals tasks.

    • +3

That's on 32-bit games which can't even access more than 4GB of RAM. What about native 64-bit games which may use a crap load of memory?. And games also which suffer a massive memory leak such as GTA 5 which is an example and causes a large frame rate drop on 8GB RAM. e.g. http://www.overclock.net/t/1587164/gta-5-memory-leak (after he installed an extra 8GB ram to up it to 16GB ram the game began running beautifully).

So are you still going to say that an extra 8GB RAM doesn't make any difference?.

      • Yes. Makes no difference gaming…even with GTAV.

        Google is your friend.

You wouldn't build a new PC without 16GB or more …but you also shouldn't waste your money upgrading your old DDR3 machine because 8GB vs 16GB makes no difference for most tasks currents.

        • Well i built my recent AMD FX 8-core build with 16GB DDR3 RAM (actually the Corsair Vengeance Red 2 x 8GB DDR3 1600mhz CL10 kit which i bought from Amazon). It's already cheap enough so why not future proof.

I can tell you these Corsair Vengeance ram are top notch and very reliable.

        • I only bought as running a few vm's on my current 8gb corsair vengeance set up isn't sufficient

    • Me personally I have 16 gigs of gaming ram and my max usage is about 13 gigs I tried to use more but the CPU was maxed out.

  • I am seeing it as $79 now in Amazon, but $64 in Camel3x.
