How is 20 % off from an already competitively priced chain, a 'borderline bargain', and worth a negative vote?
Take a MildLax-ative and loosen up.
Is MildMax really Bob Hawke in disguise ???
Have to agree with MildMax, Dan Murphys is so much cheaper even with no discounts.
Can you really do price matching at Dan murphys? I wanted to buy the BWS beer of the month (Sapporo beer) but i only have dan murphy nearby…
you need to provide a proof, like cataloge or you can even print out the beer offer, and dan murphy can do price match, cheers
Thanks mate!!! You just saved me a long train trip!!!! Just gave you a vote… :) thx
I went to dan Murphies last week without any proof that vintage cellars had budvar on sale for $48/carton , but they did phone them to check . Dan murphy's rock .
Woolworths liquor = Dan Murphys = BWS. Same supplier/owner. I'm sure they'll be fine price matching themselves.
There's a Talent To Drink And Driving…but never Drink/Driving..
dan murphys is owned by woolies lol
their purpose is to steal market share for woolies and sell under cost if necesary
their direct rival is 1st choice owned by coles
woolies liqor is set up to be retail rival against liqor land. their goal is to make money.
/end random fact of the day
Good advice to never drink Drive. It tastes terrible.
All beers lines are on special, so that's good because some items never go on special like the James Squire range and Matilda Bay range
Full strength beer slabs like Amsterdam and Oetingger are under $30!!
Unfortunately I gave this a positive vote last week and can't revoke it. I just went to Dan Murphys and bought a case of Crown Lager for $42.95 which is their NORMAL PRICE. Woolworths Liquor were charging $44.80 after their 20% discount. They flatly refused to price-match, so I put the case down and walked out. The three people behind me each holding cases of Crown Lager also walked out and asked where this Dan Murphy's store is, it's less than ten minutes drive away from the Wollies so can't complain too much.
I guess it's still good for people who don't live near a Dan Murphy's store, but if they are still making almost $2 more per case than Dan Murphy's even after a 20% discount, it's not a 'bargain' as such. It's just a lesser rip-off.
Thanks for reminding me to not drink drive.
I was totally about to do that.
Actually, now you mention it, I probably should drink drive. Just to get it out of my system before the special starts.
