This was posted earlier this week but was removed as it was a staff only clearance. I just successfully completed an order online so it may now be available to everyone, proceed with caution. It'll show as $5 in cart.

Based on volume equivalent to $12.94/slab.

Only 150 Lashes available. Golden Ale may also be available. $30 minimum for online order (6x 3.2L bottles or buy some groceries). Click & Collect or pay for delivery.

    Wow, love getting a cancellation email without any explanation.

    Just a big "YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED" as the heading and then at the end "We look forward to seeing you online again soon."

    Fat chance of that Woolworths, Coles and IGA along with the Spud Shed for me now.

      Pathetic, but typical Woolworths.

      I haven't even received a cancellation email yet (though we've now entered my 4-8pm pickup time). The website shows "En Route to:
      EASTGARDENS SHOPPING CENTRE on January 24 between 4:00pm-8:00pm".

        Yeah, I'm honestly not that surprised. But as someone mentioned before, they shouldn't be taking the money, then cancelling the order and keeping your money for 4-5 business days.

        No wonder the company is going down the sh*tter, and it's not just because of Masters!

        • Expectedly, the email came through 20 minutes after the pick-up time. Not surprised, but still annoyed.

  • Has anybody successfully ordered this online and received their order? I placed my order yesterday afternoon for pickup today and just received an email to say that it is out of stock and have received a credit for my order. Very annoyed!

    • Im chatting with them online now and they said "Unfortunately, we are not able to supply the stock for any order containing the James Squire Beer."

  • So ive got my c&c date set for tomorrow but not hoping for them being fulfilled. I see that some people got refunded and received $25 credit..is this the general gist or do most people just get their payment amount refunded without any compensation for the kerfufle?

      A refund is all they need to do, if you happen to whinge and get some kind of bonus voucher be thankful, but i dont see what 'kerfufle' happened when most people assumed it was likely going to be out of stock (based on the number of comments and people ordering)

      Even when tap king wasnt end of life, I rarely saw more than a few bottles in any store.

    Was told of a "massive online error" and "no stock" by the staff. Didn't receive any cancellation email so I thought everything was good.

    Oh well.

  • I rang the store as my window was 4pm-8pm and they haven't finished picking orders for the 4pm slot. No cancellation email, so annoying.

    Ordered 8 yesterday. Got an email saying out of stock, and I can only have 1. They refunded me $35 for the 7 I couldn't and gave me double pack tap king bottles of golden ale for free.

    Sent me a terse email that just said "Your order has been cancelled", no explanation at all.

    I've half a mind to try and complain, but half can't be bothered… I live 2 hours from the store, wasn't going into town till Thursday anyway ;)

      Complaining online gets you nowhere, they use the "out of stock" or "price error" excuse. i had a phone call from woolies saying i can go in on wednesday because they'll have stock then and an email saying the price error was rectified before i placed my order, yet they still use those excuses

      • So do you think I should still try and go in when I'm in town on Thursday? Or ring, or something else?

        I had 5 bottles ordered, but I'm guessing they will genuinely be out of stock by then! But I'm not making a special trip just for this, and not keen to waste a lot of time/anger to force them into honoring my order ;)

          Well i was told yesterday by 2 managers from different stores that stocks arriving on tuesday night so i should go wednesday to get them and they'll be put aside.
          None of my orders are showing on my woolworths account anymore but the orders which i was told will be put aside for me, i didnt get a cancellation email for, so no clue whats going on really haha.
          Might go to dan murphys and try to match my email receipt though?

    Ordered last night for pick up at 11am today. Got two 3.2L and the dispenser. Straya day sorted!

        Don't think many of us did. I emailed them asking why it was cancelled, all I got was a scripted email back about their terms and conditions. The guy sounded like a w**nker actually.

        • I called up and went off and told em I'd driven 30 mins there for nothing, as my email arrived an hour after my collection window started. Mind you the $20 coupon has a minimum spend of $30 lol.

        • I emailed them as well. When I've emailed with issues in the past, they've always given me the scripted email back. I then point out that their scripted response failed to address my concerns, and ask if they could kindly read what I took the time to write. You usually only then get an actual response.

    Walk into BWS and grab what Tap King gear you want.

    When you get to the counter, mention to the guy behind the counter how good of a deal it is and build a little repoire.

    As you go to pay, exclaim that you forgot your card and ask if they can put it through on theres. They will probably assume you are a Wow group staff member and help you out.

          I ordered at 3:24pm yesterday for 11am pick up today.

        • @sween64: All my orders are gone from my account but only received the cancellation email for 2/4 of them.. asked on chat and she said 2 havnt been cancelled. Not sure what's going on

    • The product wasn't at all BWS, it scanned at $28 but if you asked nicely (or showed them the website/receipt) you'd get it for $5.

      • Cool, I found a store tonight which had stock but knew nothing of it. I just need someone who has a copy of a receipt as they don't show up on the website anymore

    I had both of my orders fulfilled
    Even though i received 1 Out of Stock email 2 hours before i picked them up (but 1 hour into my pick up window).

    They completed 1 order of 6 and 2 dispensers
    Then tried to tell me i would be refunded for the remainder
    I said i wasn't happy with that and in 1minute they found another 2 in the BWS walk in cool room (WTF!?!)
    (When i asked her why those weren't already in my order, she explained the Manager had hid them out the back?)
    They then rang stores near by that don't do Click and Collect and had them reserved for me, which i went and picked up 10min later.

    They still had stock at other stores when i left.

    Got the cancel emails so rang store and they told to ring customer care team to sort out. They gave me $15 online voucher expires next year. Not to bad I suppose.

    I sent an email yesterday enquiring why my order was cancelled. The reply came today:

    " Dear XXXX

    Thank you for taking time to contact Woolworths Online.

    We apologise for any inconvenience caused regarding your cancelled orders.

    Please be advised that your orders have been cancelled due to price error.

    As per our Terms and Conditions(5.1), we reserve the right to accept or reject your order for any reason, including if the requested product is not available, if there is an error in the price or the product description posted on the site or an error in your order…….." blah blah

    Good to see some slipping through to get their bargains

    Argh, WW Online is so disorganised. I wasn't anticipating on receiving all the items I ordered, but hoped for maybe a couple, but they are just so difficult to deal with when something does go wrong.

    I placed two orders at two different stores, as one had the dispensers and one did not.

    I received a call from WW customer service around 12 pm from the Eastern States customer service line - they had the store I had ordered the dispensers from on the other line. They advised me the Tap King beers I ordered were out of stock, but they had the dispensers. They also advised me that the 2x10 pack of Coke I ordered were out of stock, but they would replace it with a 24 pack. No worries - I said I needed to see if the other store I ordered had the Tapking beer in stock, if it didn't I'd cancel the whole order as I don't need the dispensers w/o the beer, and don't want to make the trip for just the Coke.

    I receive an email from the other store saying one of the tapking beers I ordered is in stock (had ordered 4). Great, I thought - I'm more than happy with just one, and would pick up that order, then the dispensers and coke order from the other store.

    I then receive an out of stock notification from the store with the dispensers to say they dispensers were out of stock (the ones the customer service told me was in stock)… Customer Service line was unable to explain why this has happened. I then cancelled the entire order (it was only the Coke remaining)… However, their system only refunded one of the two 10 packs of coke. So I had to call back again, and the guy on the phone assures me both have been refunded, even though none of the emails I received confirm this.

    Such a poor online system - I now remember why i stopped doing my online shopping with WW!

    Anyway, anyone in WA after one Swindler should contact Woolworths Mirrabooka and see if they have my cancelled item in stock :)

    Wow.. Went into my click and collect store, had about 10 dispensers but only 3 kegs, wouldn't let me buy for price on the my pick up confirmation.

    Reason was out of stock when ordered and new stock had come in out Sunday, so much bs.

        The lady I was dealing with went to speak to her manager and came back saying to contact online support, I asked for price match as well and she said she had no authority…

  • My local bws has over a dozen of them won't honour online price even with reciept bugger

    • Hrmmm maybe a memo was sent out today to state not to honour the $5 deal.

      • I asked at Dan Murphy's whether they'd honour "the woolworths tap king prices". The guy I asked said absolutely no worries (he'd not seen the price) and pointed me in the direction of the bottles, adding "we've got barely any left though". They were almost completely cleared out, with only three bottles of the variety that weren't on my receipt, so didn't bother.

  • I spoke to a BWS guys yesterday. he says they've had $5 tap kings for a while for staffers. Problem was people were coming in and asking if they could get it for that price and then throwing the staff member $5 or $10 bucks to use his card. Apparently lots of people were doing this and alot of people in big trouble.
