My local Kogarah vet quoted $230 per pet, I have a litter of kittens and there was no bulk discount. A tad pricey because sometimes I see it go as low as $50.
Also had a look at older ozbargain posts on this and there is supposedly a national desexing month going on in June. Anyone know if it'll be going on this year, or know any places that regularly do cheaper desexing? Much appreciated

Male or female? I paid $250 once for a female on heat. And $80 for a male.
In SA there is an organisation you can call. Maybe if you contact them they might be able to help you for something similar in NSW? http://catassist.org.au
If you wait until June you're going to end up with like another five litter of kittens or more. And you get what you pay for. I wouldn't trust any surgery that cost $50. The poor buggers probably aren't even given pain relief at that price.

Dundas Vet offers $178 for female cats and $100 for males. They're alright if you're in the area (not really for Kogarah) or are ineligible for the voucher nocure linked on the first reply.
Or if you want to wait until July, the site says it happens every year.
