Laptop Motherboard Chip Repairs, Sydney Area - Wanted

Does anyone know a good place to repair Laptop motherboards. Not looking for a general laptop/pc fixing company i do that myself

I have a laptop i really want to save, i usually just break them up when they dont work and sell the pieces this time i would like to keep it.

I need the power chip replaced on a dell inspiron 6400 any one know someone who can/will do this type of work in sydney area

next step is buying a working motherboard , which is more dollars i dont want to spend but will if i have to

hmmm, tbh your best bet would be to break down the parts and sell online… ocau forums or similar would be a good bet*

I think the cost of labour would out weigh the price of the second hand parts.

from memory there is a 60 day waiting limit for the forums, could be more or less.

Maybe someone else can shed some light…

Broken laptop sucks when they are out of warranty as it can be very difficult to get them repaired outside the original manufacturer's service centre (which usually cost an arm & a leg to fix). Good luck but as Davo has said, selling parts is probably the best bet here.

Thanks guys, but hey not bummed about it. I have way too many laptops already , i will just buy a new motherboard from ebay or ocau and fix it

No labour cost i am a notebook engineer from way back so only looking for chip and soldering to be done
