Hi,

Does anyone know if there are any good deals for the PS4 console currently?
If not, would you know when the next decent sale will be on?

Preferably looking at the 500gb console and around the $300 mark.

      There were quite a few decent PS4 deals going on around that time. Too bad I wasn't in the market for one during that time.

    I have just started looking at buying a PlayStation 4 and I'm just wondering what a good price for A 1tb PS4 is and also what's the difference between the 500gb and the 1tb
    Is it worth buying the 1tb one

      $399 with a game, at this point. 500GB and 1TB are no difference, but you need to pay attention to the model numbers on the box. Something like: CECH-1000 and CECH-2000.

      2000 is v2 internals, which are quieter (though ramp up fan faster), cooler, more power efficient.

      There's 500GB v2 models, though I have feeling there might NOT be v2 1TB models? Unsure, but the box model number will tell you anyway.

      All PS4 games require a full install, and the OS requires about 95GB. Then there are the inevitable patches and potentially DLC. Smaller indie games tend to be between 1 and 5 GB, and the bigger AAA games are 20-60 GB.

      It's easy enough to uninstall games when you're done with them, or if you don't buy a lot of games space won't be an issue but it's incredibly easy to swap out the HDD - I used the 2TB drive from the Seagate Backup Plus Slim.

    The other day I used the Commbank Low Rate CC with $250 cashback to purchase $550 worth of Wish egift cards at 5% off through cashrewards. I then used the egift cards to purchase $550 worth of JB HI-FI gift cards and went and bought the 1TB console with Uncharted and JC3 bundle.

    Total price after cashback comes in $272.50. I will be cancelling the card on receipt of the cashback. Thanks Commbank!
