Last month was the 18th, could be any day now. I'm hoping for Civilization Revolution and Halo Wars.

    • Halo Wars has a pretty high chance soon because A) It's Halo B) They dropped mentioned of a Halo Wars 2 for some inexplicable reason.

      • A man can dream. Many nights were spent on that game with mates, vsing randoms online.. Hopefully it won't be much longer til we find out. Have the Games with Gold for Feb been announced yet?

I just want skate 3 ….and red dead redemption

    • and the San Andreas re-release from a few years back. My poor Xbox is already full. :(

Edit: Oblivion, Skyrim & Fallout New Vegas would also be awesome.

        • Cheers, I might have to grab one, I've already filled the internal 1TB, and an external 1TB..

        • @OverburdenedWarrior: Picked up a 5TB one to supplement my 500GB, space used went from 70% to 5% haha.

        • @ilikeradiohead: That's insane! What are the speeds like for playing games on the external vs internal? I picked up a 7200RPM drive specifically for the speed, but don't think it was cutting it for some games. (GTA V)

        • @OverburdenedWarrior: USB3.0 > Sata1 which the consoles use AFAIK. So externals are actually faster.

        • @StickMan: I heard SATA2, but you could be right. However, every time I ran a big open world game like GTA V, there would be noticeable stuttering and lag that isn't present now that I've moved it to the internal drive.

        • @OverburdenedWarrior: Ah, yes, probably SATA2, my mistake - but the result is the same. SATA2 is 3Gbps, while USB3 is 5Gbps. The consoles definitely don't have SATA3, so USB3.0 external drive is still going to be faster than the internal. I think there's some glitches with some games though, which is why you got the stuttering.

        • @StickMan: Yeah, that sounds like what I've heard, it's why I forked out for the 7200RPM drive. It'll be something to keep testing, but so far GTA V doesn't seem to work well enough to keep it on there.

        • @OverburdenedWarrior: I've noticed some issues playing Fallout 4, but I assumed it was the game itself haha. Didn't have any issues with ROTTR. I checked the box, but I couldn't see the rpm on the drive, but I know it's USB 3.0.

        • @ilikeradiohead:

          ROTTR 360 is BC?

        • @OverburdenedWarrior: 7200 vs 5400RPM is just a matter of throughput. Internal drives only need to be 5400RPM.

Honestly it's probably shitty code (RAM speed slower than PS4, lazy devs could just not code for this) or lack of RAM (Xbone reserves more for OS than PS4 I believe) on the Xbone. Do you have Kinect connected? If so that'll chew up even more RAM, up to another 2GB I think.

        • @StickMan: You're probably right about the shitty code, being a part of the preview updates probably isn't helping matters there. :p
Nah, no Kinect, I got the CoD Advanced Warfare 1TB console. That was at the time where that was the only way to get a 1TB.

        • @ilikeradiohead: Haven't got Fallout 4 to test with, but Fallout 3 seemed to handle being on the drive just fine. If you go into Manage Games, does Fallout 4 use any reserved space? I think the issue may be tied to the back-and-forth for reserved space on the main drive, and the game on the external.

    • The new titles list is out on Major Nelsons blog, nothing to write home about. :(
      Maybe next month?

Edit: Although this gives me hope for sooner rather than later.

'In addition to adding a few new titles to the backward compatibility list, we’re also going to start releasing titles as they become available rather than a set monthly launch date. What this means for you is that you won’t have to wait to find out the latest titles; we’ll release whatever is available, when they’re available, once each title has received the engineering and publisher stamp of approval.'

      • Haha wjat a joke this list is - they need to release a few good ones over the next nine days to make january a success i reckon

  • I want persona fighting games on it.

  • If you're in the preview program, there's a new build going out tonight/tomorrow with some decent new additions. Check out Major Nelsons blog for the details.

  • I want at least 70% of the games to work. We're currently sitting on something like 7%.

    • I only played halo reach online - it seemed ok- are they all really that bad?

      • Actually, Halo Reach is the buggist title at the moment. Don't think there are any major problems with any particular titles other than that.

        • Yeh thats what i was getting at…i think it only with campaign thought Mp seemed fine

I dunno about buggy, I'm just referring to the amount. There's literally only 7-8% of Xbox360 titles available under the 'backwards compat program'.
