[PC] Steam - Memoria+1954 Alcatraz (Daedalic Games) (Trading Cards) - $2.89/0.99US - Indiegala

30

Approximate AUD price: $4.35/1.50 (but depends on your method of payment)

Indiegala has the following two games really cheap: 1954 Alcatraz and Memoria - both games are from Daedalic games, the same people that are responsible for the Deponia Trilogy, Journey of a Roach, The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav, Edna and Harvey, The Whispered World etc.
They are beautiful point and click adventures with good stories. Both games have trading cards.

BONUS: Also, if you spend more than $2US with Indiegala (excludes bundles) you will also get a free steam key for the game "Life is hard" which also has trading cards and is rated 88% positive on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/414080/)

Could not find any info on the ever lowest price but these are the lowest prices I have ever seen them at. Also, I haven't seen these games in any bundle which makes this a very good deal in my opinion if you like point and click adventure games.

Length of play for Memoria is about 8.5 hours for main story and 10 hours for completionists (source: howlongtobeat.com)

Length of play for 1954 Alcatraz is about 5 hours for main story and 7 hours for completionists (source: howlongtobeat.com)

So for the price of a coffee you will you get hours of entertainment and good storytelling.

1954 Alcatraz (rated 75% positive): http://store.steampowered.com/app/255280/

From Steam:

"1954: Alcatraz – The cash is out there. But who will get it?

Joe's doing 40 years on Alcatraz for a heist on an armored truck. The loot is still hidden out there, but only Joe knows where it is. In the streets of San Francisco, Joe's ex-accomplices and his wife are eager to find the stolen money. Who will get their hands on the dough?"

In this interactive Point & Click adventure by Daedalic Entertainment and Irresponsible Games - the team of Gene Mocsy - Joe and his wife Christine will be playable characters. Players will decide between love, treachery, life and death: will Christine assist Joe during his prison break? Will they recover the fortune together? Or will they succumb to greed? Will Christine deceive her husband, taking revenge for all the disappointments and a marriage that brought her nothing but hardship? Will she just turn her back on Joe and hit the road with his former accomplices? Or will Joe gain everything in the end?

1954: Alcatraz offers all what makes a great adventure: challenging puzzles, a mature crime story with a dynamic plot and various possible outcomes, and a whole bunch of shady characters: brutal felons, making life on The Rock even harder for Joe, while outside not only his partners-in-crime but also snoops and cops are after the money and Christine. The cinematic San Francisco of the 1950s, caught in a gritty comic style is a harsh place. But it's also a place where 1954: Alcatraz can also pay homage to history and zeitgeist, in form of the Beatnik culture and other contemporary themes.

Memoria (rated 93% positive): http://store.steampowered.com/app/243200/

From Steam:

"Two stories, two main characters, one epic experience: in Memoria, players travel through different time periods, while following two distinct protagonists: Sadja, a southern princess who wants to be a war hero, and Geron, a bird catcher who wants to lift a curse from his girlfriend. The game combines point & click gameplay with unique magic skills.

Sadja, a Southern princess, has an unstoppable desire to become the greatest hero in history – by joining and succeeding in the biggest war Aventuria has ever seen: The war of the Mages, fought in the middle of an uninhabitable desert.
Bird catcher Geron lives almost 450 years after the Great War. Geron’s eternal love, Nuri, has been turned into a crow by an evil curse. To give her back her human form, Geron needs the help of the mysterious merchant Fahi, who has magical powers. But Fahi is only willing to help Geron if he agrees to solve a puzzle which Fahi has seen in his dreams. The quest for answers soon leads to a chain of events that connects both Sadja's and Geron's stories, threatening to turn the present into a grim reflection of a long forgotten past.

Memoria combines classic point & click adventure gameplay with the features of The Dark Eye, one of the most successful RPG universes known in the fantasy world. Point & click adventure game puzzles get a unique twist by adding magical features – and a wise, talking staff. Over eight chapters, players control both Sadja’s and Geron’s fates, involuntarily interacting with each other and bridging over 500 years of time. Each chapter in Memoria features opulent graphics, epic locations, a thrilling fantasy crime story and a unique puzzle design that differs from chapter to chapter."

Have fun. I hope you enjoy the games if you decide to give them a try (and support a great indie developer in the process - I like many of their games).
