I am installing aluminum roller shutter and I have been offered 5 years warranty on motor and 2 years on Parts and Installation.
I understand there would be longer warranty period for parts. Does 2 years warranty sound ok on parts and installation?

Ask the company what components fail in a short time that prevents them offering a longer warranty.
If they have no answer, or just say it is the policy or whatever, tell them you will buy if you get an extra warranty on the whole thing.
If they say it is the bearings or some other specific part, tell them you will buy if they extend the warranty on all the other components.
If they are reluctant, tell them it is very important to you and to ask the boss.
Do not do any of this until you have negotiated a price you are happy with and every other detail, so this is the only thing preventing a sale.
Read up on statutory warranty. What has been quoted is an express warranty. The statutory warranty which applies to all goods/services sold in australia does not specify a time limit. The warranty period is linked to the cost/quality of the product and what would be reasonable to expect. I would expect the motor to last at least 5 years. Utilising the statutory warranty is a lot harder than the express warranty.
