Need Cheap Brisbane Cbd Parking with Unlimited Exits

Hi, i'm travelling up to Brisbane this weekend. I need to hire a car. I'm looking for cheap car rental.. but mostly, i need to know where i can park cheaply in the cbd with multiple exits. The hotel i'm looking at staying (still haven't booked a hotel yet) charges $40 per day.. and i was hoping for either free/cheap.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks :-)

  • "with multiple exits"

    In case of a fire?

  • Sorry, I mean I can enter and exit multiple times throughout the day

Not sure of any carpark operators that offer that. It's the whole idea of flat rate parking etc

  • Book a different hotel?

Free? Good one. Not in Brisbane, maybe elsewhere. Brisbane will take anything it can get for parking, even on weekends and late into the evening.
    $40 sounds about right.

  • You're very unlikely to find that in the city, and even street parking in the CBD and surrounds is paid on weekends.

  • brisbane is a rip off, get a hotel in woodridge

    • Lol. No thanks.

  • $40 is probably about the best you'll do in the CBD. When I worked in the CBD I would park at Greenslopes busway and catch a bus in. Parking is free but you will still need to pay for the bus fare. The ride is about 10-15 minutes so there is also the added inconvenience.

    • is this the closest south side always wondered

      • You could probably find street parking in Buranda or Woolloongabba on weekends without much trouble. Greenslopes was best for distance and reliable free parking during the week.

Myer Centre is $5 on Saturday's and $3 on Sundays if you book online at least an hour before otherwise it's $10 per day Saturday/Sunday.

If you want to come and go several times then maybe the on-street metered parking is your best bet.

It's $1 per hour on weekends at 4P spaces. But you may have to walk a block or two to find a 4P space or else pay $2 per hour at a 3P space.

On weekends there should be more parks available, unless some big event is happening. Along Alice Street there should be heaps. Albert street north of Turbot Street should have lots of spaces too.

  • you are better off paying the $40 for the hotel parking

Thanks for everyone's reply. I ended up looking again at other hotels. I managed to find another hotel which is much newer. I booked it on venere.com mobile app and got an extra 15% off. I called the hotel to make sure they got my booking and to make sure I could get parking. They charged $25 per day, but if I booked on the hotels website it was $12 per day. So I cancelled my venere.com reservation, got the hotel to match the price including the venere.com mobile app discount of 15% off. Then I got my $12 per day parking. Pretty happy to be getting a 4.5 star hotel at around $100 per night with parking in Fortitude Valley.

All other options will be handy to know if we do need to drive around the city! Thank you

      Fortitude Valley isn't CBD though.
meaning you won't walk outside the hotel and wander around the city.

Woops. Didn't look at that too well. I only read reviews and people said it was a great position. Doesn't matter.. Its cheap :-)

        • enjoy the weekend, there'll be buses all the time any way. And the valley isnt too bad, you wont get stabbed going out at night now.

        • @PVA: Thank you. Glad to know i'll be safe!! Haha
