I just tryed to read the Sunday Mail on Pressreader. This is the link to the message

Apparently News Corp Australia has withdrawn their newspapers from the Pressreader website.
It is a pity…it was good to have a look at the local paper for free every now and then.
Does anyone in the Ozbargain community know of any other website offering the service?

Not only News Corp; the Sydney Morning Herald (Fairfax) seems to have disappeared as well.
It was good while it lasted, but with the major Australian metropolitan newspapers gone, it's not much use any more.
It would be good to find another source…
That's a real pity. They've left the front pages freely accessible which is lucky. Back when I worked a media role at a place too stingy to shell out for monitoring software, I'd coded up a script that sends me an email with the front pages every morning. It still works, but I can't easily extract inner pages now.
Even less people now will be reading their crap.
The national headline on news.com.au on the weekend was that a bogan reality TV actor apologised for using the word gay in a Facebook post.
Press Reader probably dumped news corp because this sort of crap is not news.
A few months late (I know) but I got this message today when browsing pressreader via my library. Very disappointing.
Have not found any free alternative yet.
The silence of this length probably says it all.
Nobody knows how to beat their paywall any longer… :-(
