    Thank you for your question.

    What it means is that your Deal Quest will be posted on our site for 14 days. During this time. Deal Experts can post their Deal Offers to you. You will be notified immediately of the offer and can view it in your account dashboard at any time. You can choose to take up a Deal Offer immediately ( before the 14 days ends) should you wish to.

    Q: Who is or (can be) a deal expert?
    A: Anyone can be a Deal Expert. As long as you know where to find a good deal and is able to get the product to the Deal Seeker. You can be both a Deal Seeker and a Deal Expert. Simply sign up separately for the two account types.

    Q: What guarantee have you that you will receive the product/service?
    A: This is where our escrow payment service comes in. You make payment to our secure escrow vault (not the seller). We act as the neutral party between Deal Seekers and Deal Expert, keeping your payment save until you authorise us to release the payment to the seller. You can choose to release the payment to the seller after you have received your product/service and is satisfied.

    Payment release authorisation is done from your account dashboard, and is equipped with Two-factor authentication function to ensure your security. Our Payment team and Customer Care team are here to help if you have any disputes or any query along the way.

    We can relate. Sometimes we just want to get cheap stuff instantly too, and there are plenty of sites we can choose from.

    But on occasions where we need to get products that require a bit more investment, we want to be able to get the best deals out there. And we certainly like to be able to enlist the help of other deal hunting experts to get the deal.

    We are also committed in constantly looking at ways to make our site more user-friendly and streamlining the process to make it as simple as possible.

  So many questions about this…here a just a few.

  1) It appears we give you money, which then goes to the "Deal Expert" when they have found us a deal. So do they go buy it for us, and deliver to our door? There seems to be little to no information about this. Is some random person going to get my money to do my shopping for me, then gets my address so it can be delivered? If so, no thanks.

  2) What happens if the product purchased for me by the "Expert" has problems and needs a refund/exchange? Do we go through the "Experts" or your site?

  3) I was wondering what your business would get out of this and I found this…

  What is the final price I have to pay for an offer?
  The price quoted in an offer is the final price for a Deal Seeker. There are no hidden fees of any sort.

  No hidden fees…? Oh wait!

  What is handling and service fee?
  “Handling fee” is the service fee that enables us to provide our services. The Deal Offer price quoted to Deal Seekers includes a 7.5% handling fee. This includes transaction fees, escrow fees, services fee and other applicable fees for us to make the service available to you. This handling fee will be automatically deducted from the payment received from our Deal Seeker.

  With the 7.5% fee, surely that negates the "deals" your "Experts" find for us

  4) Is there a price guarantee? What if the deal chosen isn't the cheapest around and the money has already changed hands?

    1)
    You only make payment after you choose the best offer.

    Deal Experts post their Deal Offers to your Deal Quest. You review the offers and choose the one you like the most. Once you confirm your selection, we will check with the Deal Expert to make sure that they can get the product to you at the price they are offering. Once we get confirmation, then we will ask you to make payment to our escrow vault.

    Your shipping address will only be sent directly to the Deal Expert that you have chosen after the confirmation process. In your Deal Quest posting on the site, only the suburb and postcode for delivery is listed.

    2)
    We recommend checking with your Deal Expert regarding refund/exchange policies before selecting an offer. You can communicate with Deal Expert that have posted offers to you using our messaging function in your dashboard.

    Our Customer Care team is also on hand to help with any disputes that may arise.

    3)
    For our Deal Seekers, the deal offer price that you see is the final price which includes the handling fee and service fee. This price is final, and there is no extra sneaky fees that get added at the end just before you make payment. We keep the price you pay clear, nothing hidden.

    For our Deal Experts, the handling and service fee will be displayed when you enter your price for your offer. You will see the Offer Price, Handling and service fee, and what you are expected to receive in the end. We make the pricing clear in the first step, so you are not caught out.

    We are aware that the 7.5% may dampen the deal , but we are constantly dazzled by the discounts ozbargainers can find. So we are confident that Deal Experts will be able to find you great deals. We are constantly looking for ways to make it more cost effective to run our business so that we can lower this fee for you.

    There is no price guarantee from us.

    Our Deal Experts utilise their bargain hunting skills to find the best deals they can offer you. Sometimes it may not be the cheapest price, but it has the fastest delivery, or the colour you prefer etc. You get to choose which offer you like the most based on your terms.

    The deal offer you choose may not be the cheapest deal around, but can be a great deal when you don’t have to time to go bargain hunting and compare prices.

      Just two more questions based on your responses if that's okay. Apologies in advance if it seems sceptical, these are genuine questions but will probably be "worst case scenarios" and "What happens if" type of questions, but tricky questions now might be better considered now than tricky questions when it is actually happening?

      Regarding Deal Experts - Anyone can be one, that can both good and bad. Once the deal is chosen and paid for, the Expert gets our address. Is there any protection or reputation/review system that will be developed to shows who is a reliable Expert? E.g. airbnb asks users to upload scans of their ID (Passport/Licence) to verify their identity for added security for both owners and travellers. Reviews of travellers and owners also helps both parties so that prospective owners/travellers can see that the other party can be trusted.

      Refund/Exchanges - Worst case scenario here, but should the Expert "disappear" after sending the item which turns out to be faulty, can/will your business compensate for financial losses and "punish" the other party for not responding? What actions can your Customer Care team take in such a situation? E.g. I am after something not available in my locally. Expert buys it and and it arrives damaged or faulty. Expert is contacted for help but does not respond within a reasonable amount of time.

        1. Deal Experts need to verify their identity to be able to receive payments.

        More details on Identify verification for Deal Experts :
        Dealscover takes special care to ensure that our marketplace is free from illegitimate transactions. So we require our Deal Experts to verify your personal details and payment details once our Deal Expert has made payment into our PromisePay Escrow payment vault. We will not be able to release payment to you unless we can verify your details. If you are a business, you will be required to verify your business details as well. This is to prevent fraudulent transactions from happening so that we can continue to provide this service to our genuine Deal Experts.

        Required information includes: Full Legal name, Email Address, Current Address, Month and year of birth, Bank Account Details. If you are operated a registered business, you will also need to provide: Full business name, business address, ABN, Business phone.

        We are looking at adding a review/rating system to our site in the future as well.

        If you do not wish to use your address, you could set for your products to be delivered to a PO BOX, an Australian Post Parcel Locker, or use Parcel Point.

        2. Refund/exchanges
           With escrow payment service, you have an extra layer of protection and help prevent financial loss. We need your approval before payment is released to the Deal Expert. So you could approve the release of payment after the item has arrived in a condition that is satisfactory to you.

        We do not offer compensation for the financial loss but it would not be an issue if you have not authorised the payment to be released.

        Our Payment team is on hand to assist you if there is any dispute on the payments.

        We also monitor the track record of both Deal Seekers and Deal Experts, so any user with questionable or fraudulent track records will be flag and investigated. These users will be suspended from using our site if necessary.

    We are different in a few ways.

    Our site lets you be a Deal Seeker as well as a Deal Expert.

    We see a lot of sites that have communities with forums on where to find deals. But they do not provide a way for users to just get the deal.

    The deals you can find is based on your individual circumstances. To get a special deal, you may need a specific membership card or credit card that offers discount for a product, or you may need to be near a store that still have stock of a particular discounted product.

    With our site, Deal Experts can get the Deal for you. And we provide secure payment and escrow service for your peace of mind.

    Bargain hunting is a passion, and more often than not Deal Expert freely help other deal seekers in need. But we want a give Deal Experts a way to better utilise this skill in a way that will be beneficial to them.

    Bargain hunting is a luxury as well, not everyone is tech savvy or have the facilities or time to be able to discuss on forums or hunt for deals. So we want to give deal seekers a way to get better deals.

    We actively monitor the Deal Quests on the marketplace, any user with questionable activity will be suspended for investigation.

    We actively verify users, any users with fraudulent payments or suspicious track records will also be suspended.

    Users can also report any questionable Deal Quest or users to us via the Contact Dealscover form in the user dashboard.

    For Deal Experts, we will notify you immediately when our Deal Seeker has successfully made payment to our escrow vault. So you can be sure that you will be paid for your hard work.

    Once the product has been delivered successfully, you are able to send a reminder to the Deal Seeker to release payment if you have not heard back from them. Our Payment team is on hand to assist you if there is any dispute on the payments.
