I'm chasing a wireless gaming receiver for the PC, ie the little USB device that allows you to connect a wireless 360 controller to your PC.
I think they have been discontinued as I've checked all my local retail shops. EB had a bundled package with the receiver and a controller for $66.
The receivers on ebay look fake so just wondering if anyone knows where I can buy a legit one online?
(Note: I need one for hooking up the GHWT drumkit to the PC for recording)
The GHWT kit has a MIDI output.. so you could also get a MIDI input for the PC.
I'm only fairly new to 360, but I've only ever seen adapters bundled.
Are you sure? The midi connection on the back of the drums says MIDI IN. I have the 'USB to midi' cable that Red Octane were giving out for free for "tuning" the sensitivity of the pads, but this is only useful for sending midi data in to the kit, not midi out.

I knew the GHWT kit had some sort of MIDI interface 100%.. I assumed that it was an output, and we all know what Assume makes of you and me.
I don't really get why a kit would have MIDI in but not out, but anyway.. I believe it.
I still do believe that the Wireless receiver you desire comes only with a bundled controller for Windows. The official version anyway.
i will confirm that the midi is only used for tuning and such.
you do need the wireless receiver for it to work with pc.
that's why i want one too =P got the ghwt kit.
