FREE Australia Day Bucket Hat with Telegraph Newspaper Purchase (Herald Sun May Follow) Jan 24

120

For the first time since 2012, The Sunday Telegraph is offering our readers the opportunity to celebrate Australia Day and stay safe in the sun with the classic bucket hat. Featuring the Australian flag, this 100% polyester hat provides great sun protection with a 6cm wide brim and is endorsed by the Cancer Institute NSW.

Normally the Herald Sun & Telegraph run these promos in tandem. Just have to wait and see. Enjoy :)

Perhaps better to label it as "Bonus Australia Day Bucket Hat With Telegraph Newspaper Purchase".

Nobody uses the word "Bonus" anymore, and this is exactly the situation it should be used in. Something extra at no extra cost.

For the first time since 2012, The Sunday Telegraph is offering our readers the opportunity to celebrate Australia Day….

I'm glad to have The Sunday Telegraph's permission to celebrate Australia Day.

Let's see if a segment of the community claims their culture is being stolen or used without their permission and they are offended by the hats being used in this way

Should go well with the Kogan aussie flag cape and the aussie undies which will offend other community groups.

The only person whinging seems to be you.
Sell your hate somewhere else …

    • Nah, people won't burn this…

      Hopefully not anyway

      get in here quick mods

    • IMHO, the Sunday Telegraph logo is the most offensive thing about this hat.

tbh these days it's more the priviliged white leftists that get all offended over people displaying or wearing our great flag. surprised more haven't reared their ugly heads in this thread yet…

l look forward to wearing this Australian fashion icon…. one of Paul hogans characters used to wear it when I was a kid. and it's cheaper than buying a hat from Rays'.

surprised " bucket hat" hasn't been trade marked or licensed like "ugg boot"

wasn't born here but proud to live here …… some of the options of where to live in other countries don't seem as nice.

I got all excited. I thought it had a bucket built in to the top that you could fill with beer and drink out of it :(

    • Yeah I thought it might be like the one Tony wears in First Dog on the Moon cartoons.

  • Well we've learned one thing. The Cancer Institute NSW will endorse any old rubbish.

It's better than nothing but that brim is way too small.

    • cancer council….. probably.y not very effective in a solarium…… every bit helps

Also I have one from circa 2012 and it looks better than this one. The blue is darker, more true to the colour of the flag, and the logo is much smaller (also the Cancer Council logo is non existent)
