If they don't try to resolve this I'll be creating a topic on whirlpool which will probably be listed as one of the first links on google search engine for their site. I'll make sure the title makes other potential customers know of their service and stay clear. That's if BOBSURUNCLE doesn't start responding.

A title such as "ALWAYSONSALE.COM.AU Stay away from them" would be suffice to damage their rep.

I had 2 orders, 1 for 1 and 1 for 4 (first order was for 1 not 5 by mistake).

They cancelled my 2nd order, however still charged me 6 dollars for it.

Right now they have 9$ of my money, and I have nothing (my order for 1 says on order despite me ordering in the first few mins).

Calling Visa and putting in a dispute (this costs them money). I suggest others who have been wronged do the same.

  • +2

Still nothing here…no; torch, email or refund just "on order"
    They are all gone, right?

Maybe Bob is going to make some kind of damage-control effort to actually fulfill the original promise…?

Think the flaming will be "rorther norsty" (Tony Greig voice)

  • +3

This is bull……i wanted five not one….an email would have been nice….well alwaysonsale is now BLACKLISTED for me!

  • +2

Received 1 Maglite and only gave me $10 store credit to compensate for missing 4 Maglites.
I want my money back instead!…

ABSOLUTE SCAM, AVOID Always On Sale!!…

  • just phoned them again they will give me all the money i paid out
but only if i post the one i got back to them.

now i live 20min from post office
how do i post it to them at no cost to me using a freepost slip from them?

i think i need to get a big box and fill it with 19kg of padding to protect there free maglite then put freepost slip on it .

    • +2

just do a COD postage? (i think) you make them pay for parcel

  • +3

bobsuruncle - you heard all this screams from us (yes you can…coz you are checking ozbargain)

Oh well, if anyone's wondering, you can revoke your vote by clicking "votes" above, scroll down to your nick, then click the revoke vote option.

  • +3

    just tryed but can not

cannot revoke a vote that is more than 72 hours old

    bugger

Can a MOD change my vote ??

    • +1

Didn't know that. Maybe something to be reconsidered by the mods. Post something in the feedback forum maybe. Meanwhile, lets just say my -ve vote was done on your behalf :P

    • +2

Removed positive, only Scotty can change to negative though.

Just discovered this thread. If anyone has any issues with votes, banning etc, please use the REPORT button or post in the forums.

      • +2

Hi Neil. Just curious. What is the basis of only being able to change your vote within the first 72 hrs?

        • Hmmm. Good question. I can speculate but I think Scotty will know the answer for sure.

        • Explained in this old Forum Thread. Basically to prevent people from removing the old votes which mess up some of the rating system. Currently it's 72 hours.

I am closing this thread so if you have any question, feel free to post to that thread in the forum.

      • thanks Neil

Should be reported to the ACCC…

    or Current Affair

  • +4

If you paid by CC, is there any reason why you can dispute it? Given that you didn't get what you paid for. I'm voting this 'negative' to support the community!

  • +2

i didnt want one but i wanted 5…far out this is stupid…..if they were ebay they would be spammed with bad feedback….very disapointed…my plan was to give it to family as matching gifts….FAILED

PEOPLE WHOM HAVENT VOTED VOTE NEGATIVE FOR ME PLEASE!!

    • ok - will do a neg for you keep deals like this away —-

      • what the b hell does a neg vote now achieve?? Nothing the deals ended only ones coming here are those who have already been burnt. USE THE REPORT FUNCTION SO US MODS CAN HELP YOU, like we will try to do now.

  • Damm, wish I could change mine now too.

  • Has anyone actually got a refund on their credit card for the cancelled orders yet?

  • eww i also received only 1.. and a promise to get refund of $3 back.. definetely not happy..

  • +2

    Bastards

  • -5

To all those people shouting scam & bloody murder .. I don't disagree with you on principle, but did you actually want a maglite or did you just order 5 to get, essentially, free shit? How many of you would have purchased 1 for $3 in the first place?

They've definitely mucked this up and I won't be buying from them in future, however at the end of the day I've got a nifty little torch in my hands for an unbeatable price .. it's not all bad.

  • +3

didnt order one, and am happy i didnt, dont want these scammers on ozbargain though

    • +2

I didn't order one either, however I concur with the argument of which you have made.

  • so…. mine is "on order" and I paid by cc… will they at least initiate the refund, or do I have to hassle them to get my money back?

ps, if a mod sees this, please remove my +ve vote…

  • arghh.. i filled in the form to get the $3 refund.. now i have an email, with broken links saying to scan the receipt, and snail mail it to a place in north sydney..they want me to waste $10 worth of effortm and money to get the $3 refund which is only a partial refund.. this is not right… has anyone taken this further ?

    • From the comments above some people called them up and had to talk to a few people and they eventually refunded them.

  • +3

Maybe a hall of shame or flagging system is required. That way future deals from this rep/business is red flagged so that more ppl are not suckered in and those that are, are clearly warned about what they are getting into. Simply a SCAM, no other way of putting it!

    • +1

Øbs (and all others here) - there is - for the future, ITS called the REPORT button. You can report a scam spam abuse etc. You can give reason why and it alerts mods to take action. neg voting an expired deal doesnt even come on our radar.

Or use the forums, especially talk with a mod so we can also be alerted. This particular forum is a discussion between us and the poster only so its "anonymous to the rest of the community.

Or continue this is the forums where tsandu has started a thread

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/23558

PLEASE NO MORE DISCUSSIONS HERE GO to Tsandu's thread by clicking link above, so discussions can take place where it will now have the most effect and benefit for the WHOLE community, which is in the thread that tsandu started.

Now understand. This is NOT to stop these very valuable arguments, its to move them to the place where it can now have more effect. Many who never saw this deal, wont see the arguments or points under this thread - we as mods never saw it until seeing tsandu's forum post.

Most times only those who originally read something will go and visit an expired post.

Lucky i didnt order anything from them but if i were you.

Step 1: Dont return the item.
Step 2: Call your bank and do a chrageback for item not recieved.
Step 3: Deny ever receiving the item. I am preety sure the item didnt come through registered post.
Step 4: If none of the above works, stop asking others to contact ACCC and do it yourself. This will really
    make them feel sorry.

I think this is a definate scam as not even 1 person got 5 torches.

    • +1

PLease RACK read my post - no more here - go to where it has most effect. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/23558 thank you.

  • +1

my order says dispatched but still have not recieved - grrrr
if i don't get by the end of week will do cc chargeback

    • What?? Did you read my post just above yours?? so why are you still posting here?

Sorry but if we are going to help you people lets get the posts where they can do the most good. If you and other's dont dont read the post above, then think about it, are people likely to read your post either?

But to answer myself, guess they wont even read this post - I give up!!

  • ozpete can you just move these pages over to the forums

  • +1

Today I received one maglite. LOL at angry mod I had to comment to vote negative, hope the high negative votes shows the reps from onedaysale to never post here again. :)
