  • i need one for my E63.
Is this a good deal people? I know there was a 2GB for special at another site for $7 shipped, so this sounds good.

  • Good deal. The cheapest on staticice is about $20-$25.

  • Considering Office works has these for $35 http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Dig…

It is tempting… most of the 'cheap cheap free gift' ones on eBay are fakes, its alarming how many rubbish fakes there are, so I'm skeptical of any online sandisk deals now…

    • the OW one is a class 4

  • How do the fake ones perform? Slower or not at all?

    • +1

More likely data corruption with fake ones.

      • less fakes with micro sd - a lot of the fakes are regular sd cards that say 8/16gb when in fact they are only 1/2gb.

        • most of fake Sandisk micro SD are 16GB and
          - marked as class 6
          - no Sandisk batch number laser mark (but you may found the other brand's batch number marked at the bottom of the card)
          - remarked for generic 1GB or 2GB microSD card

    • Apparently you can write your files to the card. It will think it is writing to real space, when sometimes it's writing to imaginary space.

Then you may find later, that a bunch of the files that you copied across, are corrupted :P

I was a little surprised when a promo USB that I was given did this! :P (Panasonic P2HD at a promotion for their professional range of digital video cameras)

  • it's not going to be much chop for HD vedio usage.. it's only a class 2
Speed performance rating: Class 2 (based on SD 2.00 Specification)

  • Congratulations, you managed to offer a good price without increasing the shipping cost to kill the discount!

It's a shame, though, that you're up to your usual crappy postage tricks on everything else in the promotion. A 'free' diary with $10 postage?

    • yea, noticed that too. Thought If I added it, they might charge $2 postage, but $10! Crazy!!

  • If you want to make sure that the card is the said size, use h2testw (just Google it) to check the size. I used this for each and every card I have bought and it really works well.

Oh so tempting, but since I'm looking for 16GB Class 4 or higher, I must hold off on this :) … hint hint

To save others time, there are 16GB Micro SDHC, but Class 2. Sandisk and Kingston

    http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/product.php?id=5739
    http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_9560_Kingston_16G_Micro_S…

Prices are $55.95 before shipping ($5.95 for me in Melb)

As I understand it, Class 2 may be okay for me to run apps and take photos, but Class 4 will make it faster to move music and docs to and from the card and possibly decrease the time it takes the phone to write to the memory card.

Plus any news on the 32GB that are supposed to be coming out any month now? :)

    • +1

seems to be the way to encourage bargains these days ask and ye shall receive i am keen too on that one

  • timing is perfect: had to up the size on my phone so this is great value!

  • is this working with blackberry storm?

  • Any other free things worth looing at (couldn't find them via search)?

  • recently i bought Canon A480 from OW which uses SD and SDHC card, so just want to know whether we can use Micro SDHC card with its adapter in the camera?

    • Should be no problem. I've used on several Canon cameras with micro SD + Adapter.
