How is pirating a bargain?
Probably isnt.
Did you read the text after clicking the link?it doesnt seem to be pirated. It looks like sample tracks
It looks like the data is hosted by Disney on some sort of "for your consideration - awards" related website.
Very grey area, a bit like the 'free photoshop' license from adobe. It isn't technically free, but it is effectively so.
What free license?!
http://www.redmondpie.com/download-adobe-photoshop-cs2-for-f…
It's not really free, they disabled the Activation Servers for CS2 and provided a serial that doesn't require activation for those people who previously purchased it and would like to re-install.
@dfitzpatrick: Any idea if CS2 is still a decent program and does it run on W10?
runs on w7, so i guess it would work on w10

I'm no lawyer, but it seems the OP's site is possibly circumventing the streaming service?
Well the streaming service isn't itself a content protection system or DRM technology. I don't think providing links is breaking any of those conditions.
Its definitely breaking the spirit of the law, if not the letter.
@steve_asdfg: yeah not saying whether it's legal or not, just it probably doesn't breach that TOS specifically
Its definitely breaking the vibe of the law, if not the letter.
Fixed.
John Williams' brilliant score for Star Wars: The Force Awakens can be streamed for free on Disney's Awards Website. If you already own the soundtrack, you'll still want to listen, as this cut of it features 13 minutes of unreleased music not found on the CD or digital versions of it.
John Williams Fan Network also found a way to download all of the tracks as MP3 files, which you can see here. The website has also compiled a handy list of track names, although the new tracks do not include official names. Click here to start listening to Williams' wonderful music.
23 files, each at just 160kbps? Boo.
Yeh, flac or gtfo lol
No just any old Flac either. We want 24 bit, 96 Khz :) True audiophile quality.
Though I cannot notice a difference between 16 bit and 24 bit tracks.
Get off your high horse?
Most people don't know what you're talking about, and can't discern between 128kbps and 320kbps…
This is good enough for most people.
Have to click Save As 23 times, and no track names either. Still, free is free.
Pop the lines below in a batch file in the directory where the files are and run it. Use "mp3tag" or similar program to copy file name to the track names and add the missing metadata. As others have said "downthemall" is your friend in these situations.

So A Promo Soundtrack Nice! +1. Only if it was more than 160 kps.
Doesn't have rey's theme. :(
Snubbed yet again!
Rey's Theme whilst my favourite, isn't on here because it's a special arrangement for inclusion in the soundtrack only, and not played in its entirety in the film.
Well the theme is all over the score, but if you mean the concert arrangement, then yes you need the official album for that one. This album does contain new music though, such as "The Resistance" track, which is awesome.
Disney uploaded the soundtrack to YouTube (the 128kbps AAC streams can be saved using a service such as ClipConverter).
Track 3 (the scavenger) is VERY similar.
That Snoke track is eerily similar to the one in Episode III when Palpatine talks cheating death to Anakin.
Yah the peoples have noticed…
Welp I noticed now
We notice together forever.
further on the site lists the differences between the official soundtrack and this 'For your consideration' release:
http://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?/topic/25913-the-force…
Any choice suggestion for ring tone?
Imperial March - preferably via vibration only
Speaking of which, I just learned HTML5 can make a phone vibrate.
Probably a good thing nobody is aware of this.
is there a link to the whole album??? too lazy to download it one by one
Jbhifi.com.au
you really are lazy… I'm surprised you took the effort to make a comment. Just appreciate that you get to listen to this amazing music for free
Cool it, angel.
Find free download manager software and download them at once.
Thanks, but I have my copy of the Star Wars (1977) soundtrack, and the two movies are basically the same.
De ja Vu for me too.
Just love those mono-colour bomb targeting screens.
Ok, I probably will get some negs, but which song track is the main theme song?
The Star Wars theme is not on this particular soundtrack on it's own. Unless you count the brief passages in the Finale track 23
Is the one where there's the horns playing dude
What is the track number?
not in this one… but its track 1 on the official soundtrack
@BeRad: Thanks
Looks like they intended for those tracks to be streaming in the 'Music' section of the Consideration page:
http://www.waltdisneystudiosawards.com/star-wars/musicNot sure whether their intention was to allow linking to the files directly.
I don't think it was, I think whoever designed the site screwed up pretty royally. If you do a bit of page scrubbing, it's pretty easy to find the links for all the soundtracks listed on the site (Ant-Man, Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, etc).
Someone wrap all these files into one file download for OZB please
^ this :)
jDownloader will download all of the files just by copying all of the links
Seriously, Who listens to movie scores, when not watching a movie?
living up to your name i see
anyway I listen to scores and game music and even c64 tunes more than anything elseDo u mean commodore 64? like the tape computer that peeps used to plug into the tv back in the olden days ?
Seriously, Who listens to movie scores, when not watching a movie?
Seriously, Who listens to game scores, when not playing a game?
Seriously who posts on the Internet with no knowledge on a topic without doing any research.
For what it's worth more music scores would be played on FM radio every week than Jazz, Metal, Bules and a lot of other popular genres of music.
Seriously who posts on the Internet with no knowledge on a topic without doing any research.
Id say 90% at least - in case u did not notice there are a lot of know-nothing-know-it- alls on the net
Perhaps myself included in this case if your facts are straight?
Sometimes I listen to video game and movie soundtracks when I am working. I find that it helps me focus. Music with lyrics can be too distracting when I am trying to focus on work.
The Portal 2 soundtrack is a prefect example of this.
I saw the thumbnail of a CD hoping it will come free with the Sunday paper or something.
Dammit, opened the link. Now I need to buy the ultimate collection :(
But WHY do they make it impossible to get everything.
CD version includes DVD special (no region listed)
Vinyl and Digital editions are the newly remastered scores.
I mean I already have all of these (not remastered of course) from their original releases. As well as the original 1977 score on Vinyl, though I've never played it as I've never owned a record player. But this Ultimate Collection, which doesn't include everything is sooo frustrating.
You must be new to star wars ;)
By newly remastered, they mean from 1997 when the Special Editions came out. The 2004 and 2016 re-releases on Sony Classical are exactly the same, except for the packaging.
If you want the most complete editions, buy all 7 albums separately. Each OT movie soundtrack comes with 2 CDs, everything else is 1.
The CD versions are the 1997 releases, the vinyl and digital download versions are brand new remasters of original vinyl releases from the 70s and 80s.
Oh I see, my mistake! Thanks for the heads up :)
meh the worst part of the movie.
Nice one!
Edit: there are only two tracks I recognise: 21 The Journey Home (2:18) and 23 The Jedi Steps and Finale (9:58)
