It is cheaper to join with a friend but I have no friends that want to join. Not sure if this should go in classifieds section. Promotion saves each person over 100 on a 1 year membership. Called "mates rates".

Yeah, I asked them to do the mates rate price and they will not do it.
Not sure if I should go to another one.

My daughter just joined Snap Fitness, free membership, $49.95 for the 24 hour key, and $14.95 per week (cancel any time, so if you want 2 weeks off for a holiday, you just cancel it and start it up when you get back). It was $12.95 weekly if you didn't want to be able to cancel at any time.
Didn't seem too bad.
I recently moved from my usual fortnightly subscription to the $395 for 12 months offer at Jetts Glen Osmond. They even threw in an extra month for free (13 months total for $395)
Go in and see if they can do the deal for just one person. Also push them to waive the sign-up fee (or go to one of the many Jetts with $0 signup fee flyers).
