Hey guys,

Woolworths "special" ice cream is on sale. Its usually relatively cheap to begin with but the extra $1 off makes it worth it.

I would recommend "Nuts about Ice cream"

Other flavours they have are:
-Popcorn
-apple tumble
-aussie cara-mite (I haven't tried it but sounds disgusting)

  but woolworths need to do better than their current flavour offerings - my local one only has caramite and the other popcorn shite.

    yep not quite on the same level as coles with flavour selection. I think the nuts one is worth it if you are bit nutty like me.

    FYI - the coles popcorn caramel is pretty average (not sure if they still make it)

    in my experience vegemite and sweet stuff don't mix.

      Vegemite cadbury chocolate was OK. Similar concept to salted caramel which is what I assume this ice cream is going for.

  The flavours of all of these are great, but the actual ice cream it's mixed into is terrible. Bland and not creamy at all.

  Today I bought all of these flavours and compared them to the coles brand ones I had in the freezer (Had peanut butter and Gooey choice brownie)

  The woolies ones are made with crap ice cream - they will subsequently be used for milkshakes for any visiting kids (or when I get desperate)

  If you want to spend $4 on a 500ml tub of ice cream - the coles peanut butter flavour is the best by a long way.

  The nut flavour is the best one amongst these woolies varieties - but even then isn't that good.

  You can all trust me - I've eaten enough ice cream in my life to be sure.

    Are both Coles and WoW ones made in Oz? I wonder if they're from the same supplier..

    Coles had an in-store demo a while back and I tried the coffee/espresso flavour and boy it was good- personally I thought it was coming very close to Baskin Robbin's Espresso ice cream!
