Got this from an email. 30% off Dell Mini 10 netbook (note, NOT the Mini 10v, but more expensive Mini 10). Limit to 500 orders. So for $454.30 delivered, you get

  • Intel Atom Z530 (1.6GHz)
  • Windows 7 Starter
  • 1GB DDR2 RAM
  • 250GB Hard Drive
  • 10.1" WSVGA Display
  • 802.11n Wireless

I know there are other netbooks with similar spec but might be cheaper than a Dell Mini 10, but I am putting it here just in case someone fancy one.

Edit: The coupon seems to work if you upgrade to a better screen (1366x768 WLED), which comes down to $480.48 after discount.

Does anyone actually trust Dell enough to use this and see if they pull their usual bait & switch. I think not.

  • Should come with 1366x768 as standard for that price.. Bit of a rip off imo.

The CPU is 20 months old, definitely not worth the price when newer/better can be had for less.

  • I think its more would you pay that much for something thats on its way out rather than will they keep that price. Id rather wait and get one of the new models with the better specs that will be out to replace these later. Depends if you are in a hurry for a netbook

In it's fairness it's good it does offer a larger HDD than previous netbooks (160GB). My main concern here is the Windows 7 Starter which apparently doesn't allow you to use multi-monitor.

There's a lot of discussion on how well Windows 7 is working on netbooks, so curious to know how it would run on this one.

  • Rip off, why wouldn't you get this instead with a +2 year warranty and still save (Although I don't like Acer, I would prefer it over this Dell rubbish)

Regardless of Dell's pricing, this is a significant discount. Thanks for sharing. For those unaware, you can save a further $9.90 removing essential help.
