My fellow OZBargainers - I need your help please!
I live in a house on a small hillock alongside a stretch of river in Sydney.
Now, the problem is the hillock that my house on is gradually eroding away on the riverside - in certain areas the erosion has crept to less than a metre of my boundary fence.
The river is part of the Sydney Water catchment area and the land between my fence and the river is owned by Sydney Water but maintained by council.
I had approached council a few years back with my concerns about the eroding hillock and they responded by planting trees adjacent to the hillock.
However that has only slowed the erosion and not stopped it.
In my opinion the hillock needs to be shored up and/or reinforced - would this be something that I need to talk to Sydney Water or a Council?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Approach the council again?
