    Does it come with a Canon adapter ring?

    • No but if you read it backwards it it spells death to Canon. And tells you how to use your new mkiii

      Use duct tape. Remember to use red duct tape for L lenses.

  • Is this for dslr or film

    It's for digital

  • newbie question: is it possible to download files direct from internet to cloud storage, eg onedrive, dropbox etc (without downloading to local machine and then uploading to cloud)?

      Only on IOS current version.

  • 82mb isn't much

  • Damn… I am a teenager …again

  • Is it just me saw a free nikon Df? :)

  • I'd love to read one on compact cameras like the rx100

  • Great download, thanks ozbargain.

    Good download. I certainly don't agree with everything presented, and some of the presentation (like the bootcamp nonsense) is a distraction, but it's a good starting point for someone really looking to explore photography in more depth and it's free. While it certainly is geared towards Nikon DSLR cameras a lot of the information is generally applicable.

      Ok why the hell was that down voted? I clearly have a troll following me.

      • Let's try for 3 trolls.

    I just got the d5500 so colour manual is more appealing than bw instruction book

    • Agreed. Even more appealing when you have access to the office high end colour laser printer and you're the 1st in the office by several hours :-)

      Should have the full print by the end of the week.

      • +2

        Why? Just throw it on your phone, tablet, or laptop. Don't waste trees just because you can.

        • Because books like this I like to read before going to bed. Not a fan of major screen use at this time. Plus I suffer from nerve pain in my hands and holding a phone or tablet for long periods exasperates this.

          @start3r:

          The whole screen use sleep hygiene thing im not convinced by. For the nerve pain suggest you get a holder for your tablet.

        • @syousef: As I said, I don't wish to use a tablet at night. Much prefer to read from paper. Plenty of research into Blue Light filtering etc.. people will no doubt have differing opinions on the matter and that's cool.

          However, for me, I know for a fact that since I stopped using mobile devices etc before sleep I now sleep better and am happy to leave it that way.

          @start3r:

          I hope at least you keep them alongside other "real" books. One day this generation are going to be seen as the most wasteful environmental vandals in history. You're not alone though. My kingdom to make paper mailbox advertising illegal. Hope work's cool with you doing what you do. You'd feel foolish if they're not and you get caught.

  • Looks like free advertising from Nikon

    • That's certainly part of it but there's some useful information in there too. (Unfortunately also some rather opinionated advice that doesn't present the downsides to certain things). I think it's useful to flick through for someone just getting serious about photography, even if they don't own a Nikon…and if you are looking at purchasing Nikon glass there are some useful comparisons.

    • The document was put together by NPhoto Magazine.

      Nice shot. Post it to a photo board and you'll get a lot more feedback than here.
