Wii U issue - not loading

So, my Wii U is not loading. There is just a blue flashing led on the front.

Is this like the ring of death?

Is there a fix or is it stuffed?

Its old and out of warranty

Get the oldest person you know to ring up for you, Nintendo are known for being softies for free out of warranty repair, else they charge a arm and a leg.
