Discovered at Target, Whyalla, SA. Don't know if they're at other stores.
Initially I thought that it was 30 cents PER candy cane.
BUT….
I've never been so happy to be so wrong in my life (Ed Note - Not quite true. There was that one time that I thought I was going to lose a testicle during a ski accident vs barb wire fence….)
They state that they have 100 per box. I had to take one back because it had only 98 in them. So check carefully…..actually no. No, I didn't. I'm Chinese, and I know that if I open them up to check, I'll never get the sticky tape back in the right place if I give them away as belated Christmas gifts.
The lady at the checkout asked me, "Why are you buying 10?"
My answer?
"It was because I only had 3 bucks in my pocket. Do I look like a diabetic dentist to you??!!"
I did a small experiment. It took me 2 seconds to unwrap a candy cane, 3 seconds to chew and eat. It therefore takes a person about 8 mins 20 secs to consume a whole box (assuming there's really 100 in there), so even chomping at full speed, it would cost you $2.16 per hour to get a sugar hit.
That's actually not bad value for money.
Positive vote just for the entertaining post๐
