Singapore Airlines - Delayed baggage Compensation

Hi all,

I landed in Sydney from Singapore(Singapore airlines) on the evening of 04th Jan 2016.
I haven't received my check in bags(2 of them - 30kgs) so far.
Just received a call from Singapore airlines that they could trace my baggage and will be delivering it to me today.

Just wondering if I will be eligible for Delayed baggage compensation.
Any experiences that you guys share will be much appreciated.

  • Do you live in Sydney? I think your chances of getting compensation are less than an outbound flight.

    It's not like they stranded you at the start of a holiday without any clothes. As long a they deliver them to your door, what kind of expenses are you facing at home because your bags were delayed?

      They found your bags and are going to deliver them. Wait till you receive them and check if everything is there before doing anything else.

    Send them an email or give them a call. Virgin delayed our bags for about 2 hours a few years ago, sent them an email and got a $100 voucher. No harm in letting them know that you are upset about it.

  • Travel insurance?
