Fox's Chunkie Cookies - 2 for $3 (Save $5 - 62.5% off) @ Coles

190

A range of Fox’s Chunkie Cookies is on special at Coles - 2 for $3.

Dark, Milk and White Chocolate varieties, 180g packs.

Regular price is $4 each, so this is 62.5% discount. This is not in the catalogue, but looks like it's national deal for the week.

These are pretty good cookies. Made in the UK. Cheaper here than there, good for our homesick Pommie friends to refresh their stock.

Tried these for the first time today. They are simply ok. Worth that price. Not worth $4. Not even close.

    • I agree- tried them a while ago and weren't a fan…

    • They're Ok,

IMHO better than most other mass-produced cookie brands, they're not stingy with chocolate, good chunky size so they don't break easily when dunked in coffee/tea.

Definitely not worth $4 (though they retail for £2 in the UK, which is around that price). But for $1.50 a pack this is good value.

coles brand chocolate chip cookies wins hands down

    • The choc or the cookie seems over-sweetened.

  • What's the difference between chunkie cookies and… non-chunkie cookies?

  • are they made with butter, or palm oil ….. often it says vegetable fat …… what happened to biscuits with butter instead of vegetable shortening and palm oil.

    • Ingredients are as follows (this is for Milk Chocolate version, but is similar for others):

Fortified Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Thiamin, Niacin), Milk Chocolate Chunks (26%) (Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Dried Whole Milk, Dried Whey (Milk), Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin), Palm Oil, Sugar, Oatmeal, Partially Inverted Refiners Syrup, Desiccated Coconut, Glucose Syrup, Molasses, Raising Agents:Ammonium Bicarbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Disodium Diphosphate, Salt, Flavouring, Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin, May contain Nuts

      • Thanks, I often forget my reading glasses in the supermarket so this is a saviour ….. but the recipe does seem more sophisticated than the Country Women’s Association cookbook, Women’s Weekly Cookbook, Margaret Fulton cookbook, or how my mum made biscuits …wonder if it's due to patents or copyright of biscuit recipes.

Bought them last time they were on special, didn't enjoy them.

  • Therse were horrid, Coles brand ones are better.

  • I tried the one next to it, "Maryland Cookies" 2 for $5, they're nice!

  • Pretty sure I tried these when they were previously on special at $1 per packet. They were OK.

  • are the parallel imports from reject shop exactly the same as these pups?

i always buy them when they're on sale then i saw some in RS
