  • Says until 23:59 Wednesday 6/01.

    • Is it, like AEST, or GMT, where they're based? I guess if there's anything good I should just jump on it asap.

      • UK time

Can't use in conjunction with points. I prefer their points system now. You get decent discount once you get past 20k.

    • +3

Why is this being negged? I find it dodgy that you can't use your points credits combined with offers such as this.

      • +1

        Pretty common though.

    • +1

Yep, I have enough points for a $35 voucher. :)
Just waiting for a particular game to become available for preorder.

  • Hmm… Might use this to finally bite the bullet on Star Wars Battlefront on PS4. Even at that price…hard to justify.

Anyone know of SW BF on PS4 going cheaper at the moment?

      • Cheers dude!

Might just grab the hard copy though. My internet is shithouse. Would take me days to download, and being an EA POS game I'm sure it will be 40+GB :/

        • +3

You have to download anyway. With hard copys nowdays

        • @shadowrukia

Yes, but a ~10G string of updates is a lot better than 40GB for some.

On that note, does anyone know what the size of all updates and the base game is to download?

        • -2

          @shawnsmaggot: google

        • +1

          @shadowrukia:

What's that? never heard of it.

    • +3

If you care about gaming you wouldn't buy that game.

      • ugh..tell me about it.

The only reason I'm buying it is so that I can play with friends.

I've been a competitive PC FPS gamer for the last ~10 years so it disgusts me that I've sunk this low.

  • +1

Xenoblade Chronicles X for $58.50. Great deal!

    • nice! i strangely prefer the au version though :)

      • why? UK is AU version just diff rating on packaging.

        • +2

          i said strange didn't i? ;)

i buy them to collect almost as much as to play them… generally the only thing different is the rating on the front, even the disks theses days are all uk rated! although the paper inserts might actually be different too.

        • +1

@baldy: yeah I wish it wasnt just about the uk and US and japan with games , AUS has to wait for ages for games release here or they just dont. like the new digimon game only UK and US is getting them, we have to download from psn . I dont see much hope for AU and gaming in the future

        • +1

          @baldy:

Copy I got from EB had no inserts.
Copy I got from OGS had (generic) inserts.

          If it matters to you.

      • @baldy:

I would buy AU ver. too. :)

Some of the stuff on my wishlist went up by a few bucks…

    • +3

Their prices jump and down the time.

  • Damnreally. Already ordered some stuff before sale

  • How about buying Xbox live gold cards?

    • Standard price is $63, bringing them down to $56.7. They're slightly cheaper on g2a, I think around $51. They were ~$40 on g2a a few months back, wish I'd picked one up then!

      • I am looking to buy both Xbox live and psn plus

Can't seem to find any good deals

        • I've been looking and g2a seems the cheapest atm. Maybe in a few months something will come up. The drop in the exchange rate over the past 2 years has ruined the killer deals we used to get.

  • +8

Any actual bargains? Havent bought from these guys in years since the AUD has dropped. Isnt target and big w cheaper?

      • +4

Bad attitude buddy - "Have a look" at the posting guidelines friend - it suggests the OP to include examples of the alleged bargains mate

        • +1

@Chef-Johnson: exactly, not gonna waste time unless you /someone suggests that there is a bargain to consider coz default position is that ozgs dont got no bargains anymore

        • +3

@Chef-Johnson: your attitude just went bad to worse sorry to say. Dont take it so personally that someone questioned your "bargain"

And FYI, I actually created a quick post alerting people that dse gift card were still working online - more of a community service announcement than bitching

          Have a nice day….and a neg

    • well that all depends on which game you're buying…

    • +3

Although the code won't apply, $47 AUD for Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC / Steam (yes - it arrives in three weeks!) is not bad:

  • +1

Thanks OP. Finally pulled the trigger on a few things I'd had sitting in my cart.

  • +1

+1.5% cash back from cashrewards :)

    • that donst work, never worked for me

      • it works, just really slow. my purchases from Apr and Jun were approved.

Once upon a time, OZGS was the cheapest place for your gaming needs.

It was free shipping on all orders
Their discounts were real (i.e not bumped up then reduced)
Their everyday prices were way cheaper than in-store retailers off the bat

Now reverse the 3 comments above and that's the situation they're in.

    • -1

It truly depends on title & platform. I've bought about 4 games in past yr and hlf ps4. Cheapest i could find.

    • +2

i still have so many 360 games unplayed from when this was the case. one day i will get to them…

    • +2

Was just thinking myself. Even 2 years ago it was the cheapest place for pretty much every title, pre-orders included.

They have slowly become more & more expensive.

      • +1

The funniest part is when they put something like:

        Tome Raider - RRP $109.00

Then they cross that price out and say it's $69.00 which happens to be the exact amount other retailers have it for…maybe $3 cheaper.

    • Theyre still cheapest for alot of games when they are first released.

I think it has more to do with the where Australia is at in terms of pricing atm. Its never been cheaper to game in Australia than it is now, so Ozgameshops low prices are just not as good.

    • +1

Ah the good ol'days, I've heard they sold the company a year or two ago and it's gone down the shitter ever since.

  • Nearly everything is more expensive then other UK sites even with the code

    • what other UK options are there?

      • +1

Main big one is thegamecollection, flash deals are pretty insane, they had splatoon for 40AUD shipped for preorder for example

  • I just tried adding a board game to the cart. Free delivery. With the code, there's $2 for the delivery. Overall, still cheaper but it seems dodgy.

  • +3

It's kind of funny when OGS's prices are higher than Microsoft's own web store for Xbox accessories.
Media remote, Play & Charge kit, wired headset, TV tuner - all well above RRP of MS Aust. :-s

Shows how much the A$ has dived. :-(

  • Works! Bought king of tokyo power expansion! Cheapest!

  • Thanks for the post OP, unfortunately, every single thing on this site that is of even slight interest to me, is way more than 10% over any reasonable price.

  • Thanks OP
Grabbed a few WiiU games which seemed like good prices compared to the Eshop.

So when there's a 10% off coupon player point rewards are suddenly 5% instead of 10 & shipping is charged and you can't use player points. Don't think I'd be saving any money from a $50 game vs using my existing points

  • A Link Between Worlds 3DS for $27 before shipping - what a deal!
