Where to Buy an iPhone 5c Battery Case and Warranty Issues

Just wondering where to buy a quality or brand-name iPhone 5c battery case, as its hard to find accessories for this model. There's plenty of generic iPhone 5/5s/5c cases on eBay that don't seem specifically designed for the 5c.

Also, on a related note, my battery no longer holds charge. I'm getting it repaired at the Apple Store, but its literally a week out of warranty (bought during the $399 deal on OzBargain last Christmas). What are the chances they'll replace it for free out of goodwill? If not, can I argue that Australian Consumer Law should cover it?

  • Not sure of any 5C battery cases, but Apple have acknowledged the Consumer Laws and coverage is for two years on the iPhone.

  • If it was bought from Australia then yes warranty applies even past the apple 1 year limited hardware warranty. Plus bonus tip, consumer law is not covered for two years, it actually longer for the iPhone, because of the price you pay for the product. Best to call 1300 321 456 and ask to run a diagnostic test to see if a software issue causing the battery problem before assuming hardware. Also back up your data before you visit the store, if need be.

    • Already done, it failed the battery test (not surprising, it lasts less than an hour!). Hopefully they won't give me any trouble, the Apple Store is usually pretty good for these kind of things, customer loyalty and whatnot.
