Parents are looking to buy one, but most stuff from infomercials are just rubbish,

How much does it cost? And how design that compare to others in market?
I had one of the mini max chargers till I lost it, as for features it started my car several times in a row and that was with a stuffed battery, after I lost it I had to buy a new battery which was $119 so I got the value out of the mini max it also recharged my iPhone several times without recharging the mini max, it is something that anyone that has or does a lot of travelling should have you. Now can buy them off eBay now with a extra feature that allows you to run anything that has a 12v lighter connection which is the one that I'm going to get for less than $57AU.
Their site says that it can recharge an iphone 5s at least 4 times.
Google says the 5s had a battery of 5.92 Whr (1560 mAh).
That means this battery holds around 2Ah at 12v.
This is a very small battery for applications like jump starting.
Admittedly, Lithium batteries have better discharge characteristics than Lead acid, but it is still small.
They quote a peak 400amps. My jump starter from kmart promises 1200 peak amps and I reckon it could use a bit more grunt.
I'm not saying it is useless, but it would perform at the bottom of the performance spectrum for car jump starting. And judging from the hard sell marketing, you are likely to pay a high price for it.
It is likely to perform as well as any other battery pack for phone charging. A comparable battery pack would likely advertise as 6000mAh (as they present 5v USB). You can do your own research on what they cost, but $30 seems like a usual price point.
