Can anyone comment on the this particular unit that may sway me to buying?

It comes with a Malware that steals power from the power grid.

    • Here's a small review, more on google to view :)

"The Honor Power Bank takes around five-and-half hours to get charged 100% and offers 78% conversion rate, which means you get around 10,140mAh actual battery life in use. This is similar to the ASUS ZenPower and the power banks of OnePlus and Mi.
Both the ports offer 5V-2A power output, implying the device gets charged more quickly than others. We found the power bank can charge at least 4 devices at one time. "

Confused about this. 78% conversion? So you pay for a 13000mah device which only offers 10140mah output at the end of the day?. Might as well get a Xiaomi 10400 mah one.

        • Well it says it's the same with Oneplus and Xiaomi Mi so dunno how that works

        • +3

yes its the same with the xiaomi ones. the xiaomi website states 93% coversion rate but the reviews put it also at around 80%.

          Its just a balance really.
The faster the charging (1A/2A etc) the worse the conversion rate should be.
So typically if one is a 1-2% worse than another I would hazard a guess that its actually the rounding difference between 2A charging and 2.1A charging.

        • +1

The xiaomi will be lower than 10400 in real world too

Conversion is because the batteries used in the charger are a lower voltage (3.7-4.2V) than your USB chargers (5V)

        • @groook:

I like this one because the casing feels a lot better while the xiaom, I have to use a case as I hate the feeling of the casing.

        In the review ….

The Huawei Honor AP007 13,000 mAh power bank is available exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 1,399.

        Rs 1399 = AUD $29

Good Guys keep on doing bad things ….!

Don't forget they have to import them, pay tax, add 10% GST, shipping and etc

        • @useful: Don't forget, this Powerbank is not made in India. Its made in China. So Indians also have to import it from China like Aussies do. Now, I am not a foreign trade expert, but I believe, many countries impose import duties on products they bring in from overseas. BTW, the import duty on Lithium battery packs in India is 26.5%. Yet its cheaper there.

  • +3

isnt the xiaomi one better and cheaper?

    • +4

      Are you asking or telling?

  • Can also buy on eBay The Good Guys store at $39 plus $8 shipping.

  • Design looks quite like xiaomi

    • I feel like everything is the same but the casing

      • Probably came from ZMI as well. Xiaomi don't even make most of their products.

  • Just got 2 at Gepps Cross. $37.50 each :)

  • Is this worth getting? As looking to buy two wife and i as may come in handy

    • Yes, it is worth getting for the price

    • Two wives?

Jokes aside, you may want to look into getting the newer ones that have quick charge. These things take like 4-5 hours to charge when they're empty
