        Well indeed….the more I think about it, I'm at a loss as to what animal (untethered) can be contained by a 24cm high (slightly higher than A4 paper on its side) fence. A mouse or a rat, but they would likely push under. I think a guinea pig could easily clear 24cm's….Mmmm…new born ducklings?

          I've never seen a guinea pig clear that height in an unassisted jump. However I would want some kind of 'ceiling' on this enclosure to protect guinea pigs from neighbourhood dogs & cats. Additionally, in my experience, guinea pigs will burrow out of enclosures without wire mesh underneath.

            @Lacerta: Well I stand corrected….the world record for a guinea pig high jump is 20 cm's recorded in 2003…….This fence will thus offer a 4 cm buffer for even the most athletic pig!
